Authors note: Hi, welcome to the sneak peek of an upcoming story which I call The Draugr.

Based on several stories such as Giselle, many of the theories which surround the Frozen and one main plot problem which I see in the movie. Personally, okay I get that it is Disney and they have to have happy endings and such, but I always felt that the movie ending was highly unrealistic. If it would have been me in the people of Arendelles shoes, regardless of what happened I would still have been terrified of having Elsa as my queen for many reasons such as...if she gets mad "boom" crops are lost...she can create armies that can destroy towns in seconds with a flick of a wrist, fortresses, so ya...it is very terrifying...plus the fear that maybe she will loose control again...plus neither Elsa or Anna have shown good judgment, one is a flight risk and the other well...very immature..

Also another thing...I could not help but notice that Agnaar hesitated before saying Elsa was born with the powers...the hesitation makes me feel that he is either lying or does not know...

So basically this story will be not only to fill up the plot holes, but also bridge a gap that will allow Elsa and Anna to have more character development, but also give it more historic details as it will touch on Vikings and Norway mythology and history and such.

Any way, please read, enjoy and write a review to tell me what you think.

Strange, was this be dead? Nothingness? No light at the end of the tunnel? No heaven or hell? Just empty blackness?

Groaning Hans found himself opening his eyes and much to his surprise starring at something which was easily a couple of inches in front of him.

It was beautiful wall really, icy blue with swirls and designs which were delicate and pleasing to the eye.

Whoever made it took great care in all the details yet as pretty as it was Hans did not enjoy the claustrophobic feeling as he realized he was inside of a box of sorts.

Pressing his hands against it he was surprised to find that the wall moved, so he kept moving it till finally it had an opening which allowed him to sit up from his lying down position.

Looking around he found himself in a large room, it was all rock yet very fine as the rocky walls were carved with beautiful rune designs, the ceiling had been carved with a design that would make any cathedral envious, there were strange yet beautiful crystal lanterns hanging from the ceiling that were lit with a warm bright light.

Upon further inspection Hans came to a star telling conclusion.

The box he was laying on was a coffin and said coffins was in a pedestal made out of carved crystal.

But the coffin was more than enough to convince him that he had been buried alive...was he?

He remembered being hanged, but nothing much after that and...how did he end up in this place? And more importantly who made this place?

Well if he was unconscious that explains why he was buried, but not why he was given this place. His family did not care for him and he was sure that they would have let his body hanging to rot or feed it to the animals.

He had friends but neither one of them would have been able to give him such a fine resting place.

So...who was the most generous provider?

Shaking his head Hans decided to figure it out later as he got up and carefully walk out of the coffin and stood up.

His legs wobbled a bit, he felt weird, what weird he was not sure how to describe, but he definitely did not feel right or like himself.

"I was probably laying down to much" though Hans trying to self explain the situation, but that explanation did not feel quite right.

Slowly gathering his bearings Hans began to walk out only to notice glass cases set in front of the pedestal where his coffin was.

Curious Hans looked to see what it was.

The first case contained a dainty golden comb with green ribbons attached to it. Beautiful and familiar...where had he seen that before?

Bellow it was a golden plaque and it it was written:

"I will not ask for you forgiveness, for what I have done to you is unforgivable. I was so lost in my hatred and revenge. Kind Hans, you gave me love then my sister back and in exchange I took your life. Such an act I will never forget. I sware, no harm will ever come to you and not a day will pass that I won't be sorry for what I did"

Hans frowned as he touched the plaque, whoever wrote it must have been the one who made this. But it did not say who it was.

Moving to the next case he saw it had a crown inside, a very simple one made out of gold and encrusted with sapphires, the design of it like the comb was familiar but he could not pin point to what.

Below it was another plaque and it said:

"I don't know what to say for I feel that words will never be enough to express my sorrow and my thanks to you. Even though we have known each other less than a day your presecen did so much. In a short while you were the king the people needed...that I needed to be...while I ran away you stood by my people and took care of them. You taught me how to be a queen...If only things would have been different.,.if only the events which robed you from us never happened...You did not deserve what happened... and even though that I cannot change what happened I can sit and pray for you. Pray that wherever you are you will finally gain the peace, love and happiness which you so deserved and was robbed from you so unjustly...my sweet Hans...you will forever be in my heart...my hero...my king..."

The words were touching and sad, both were, Hans could not believe he was regarded in such a way as he was always called a monster then a murderer after the events in Arendelle.

What happened in there he was not sure, one minute he was trying to stop the council from plotting to kill Elsa then the next he was thrown into a cell being charged with murder, treason and attempted theft of the throne of arendelle.

"What happened during that time? Why do I not remember?" though Hans as he moved to the next case.

Inside there was a glass lantern modeled after the lantersn in corona, inside of said lantern was a ball of light unlike any Hans ever saw.

Touching the glass he marveled at how warm it felt before reading the plaque.

"My dear friend. Here is a lantern with an eternal flame, to keep you company, warm and light your way in the darkest of nights.

I will forever miss you, you were like a diamond to me, strong, hard to find and a treasure which I will always be greatful to have possessed even if it was for a little while"

Unlike the others this one was signed, Varian the alchemist.

"Varian" though Hans as he smiled remembering his one of his friends from Corona. His one true friend. He always believed in his innocence and protested heavily, unlike his other friends who up and left.

Shaking his head Hans decided to forget about them as he opened up the case and took the lantern for he felt it would be useful to him before moving into the last case.

Inside was a pair of boots, sturdy and made out of leather, obviously made to last a lifetime and beyond. The craftsmanship was strangely familiar to Hans and reading the plaque he realized why.

"Freckles...guess I lost the right to call you that...to even call you my friend. I abandoned you in your time of need...I did not give you the benefit of the doubt and now your dead... I do not deserve to leave this or even write anything. But I just need you to know how sorry I am even if you do not forgive me for my inactions for I know that I do not deserve your forgiveness"

"Eugene" though Hans as he felt rage creep up inside of him as he remembered their last meeting which was anything but good.

Starring at the boots then at his own shows he opened up the case and switched the boots for his own shoes as said boots were more useful to him than the dress shoes he was "buried" in.

Putting them on and lacing them he marveled at how comfortable they were. True Eugene was a thief in his past but he had also worked as a shoe maker and cobbler...and was very good at those jobs.

Getting up hans made his way out of the room, it went down a hall and up some stairs before he came upon a pair of stone double doors.

Pressing his hands against them he opened up the doors and looked outside to find that it was winter, the "tomb" he was placed in was hidden inside of the base of a rocky mountain, bare dead forest was all around, the place was well hidden, it would have not been found unless the person looking knew where it was, on the base of the "tomb" there were dead dried flowers.

Bending down and placing a glove covered hand on the dead flowers Hans got up and looked up to the gray sky which was covered in what looked to be like storm clouds as he wondered...how long had he been out...Weeks? Months?

"Guess I will find out" though Hans as he made his way out and down a stone path praying to find civilization soon and some answers.

Walking down he made his way through the forest of dead trees, which he realized they were dead, really dead, it was as if the cold itself burned them.

Then he stopped, he felt something...no...somebody...the area all around seemed to grow dark as a mist gathered, from that mist a man was formed, he was old, but not that old, his hair was matted and wet, his clothes torn and covered in sea weed, chains were shackled all around him.

Fear entered Hans as he was quick to realize...this man was not alive...was it a ghost?...probably as the man seemed to be either made or part of the mist.

"Please...help them..." he said, his voice sounding distant, like an echo.

But before Hans could ask the man vanished, so did the mist leaving Hans to wonder...had he seen what he had seen...or was it a hallucination?

"I don't want to find out" though Hans as he began to move quicker, eager to leave the forest and find civilization as soon as possible.

To be continued...

Authors note: Though Hans is the main character the story will be built around Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and the kingdom of Arendelle as what is going on is tied to them, their past and even the kingdoms past actions...

SO what do you all think of this story which will be coming soon?
