A/N: So, I posted this for the lack of updating lately. I've been really antsy to put something up, but until my chapters are done, this will have to sate you all. I made this in the middle of the night a couple of years ago (especially the last four stanzas) and the message feels a little splotchy to me. ^_^" But anyways….

I don't know who the speaker is, really. I wrote it for Naruto and Sasuke or Jiraiya and Orochimaru, but if you see anyone else within the poem, let me know! I love feedback from you guys! XD

Hello, do you remember that greeting

We exchanged when we first met?

And we'd play everyday until dusk and

Goodbye we'd always regret?

Remember all the games we saved

And then behind they were left?

Remember all the vows we made

That were never really kept?

How was I supposed to know it all would fall apart?

How was I supposed to see the tears inside your heart?

Today I saw you walking by,

And my heart began to weep.

I know you that say we are friends

But I know talk is cheap.

And I'm scared I'll lose it all-

And that from Cloud Nine I'll fall.

Do you even notice when I look at you

Hoping you'll turn around and see me too?

Or maybe you notice, but you only hide

And when looking at pain, you act like you're blind.

But I want to feel as if I'm owned

Rather than being left all alone.

It's like you're keeping me prisoner

Under your captivating spell.

Everyone says, "Make lemonade,

Just deal with the cards you're dealt."

But I'm getting tired of lies and schemes-

Tired of reading your acid eyes.

You may always say that you care a lot,

But love is your greatest demise….

Maybe you don't mean it, maybe it's all fake;

You don't want to hurt me, or my poor heart break.

Or perhaps you only play me,

A pawn in your chess game.

And you only use me to get

At your own dreams and gains….

So please don't claim I'm inhumane

When you're the one who had no shame.

I was going to stop your misery,

But the sun's setting on being with you.

And even though I attempt to fight,

Nothing changes-you and I are through.

Gone and finished!

Left alone in despair!

My hatred rising,

For you're not there.

Do you think I enjoyed the glare (encasing your eyes)

That you so kindly gave me as we said our goodbyes?

Do you like it when you cause pain

When you break another heart?

Do you enjoy all the sorrow as

You rip another soul apart?

Everyone says, "Forget and Forgive,

For you've done all you could."

So I'll leave you to the life you'll live

With a "Bye!" that's not so good.
