A Sad Story

Standing on the sidewalk, gaping at the teddy in her hands. She looked up from the stuffed toy to her smiling boyfriend, whose blue eyes were shining brightly. She didn't want a toy; she wanted a ring.

"Is this some sort of joke?" the girl asked in a serious tone, in her fall jacket and gloves.

"I thought it was cute, Kairi…" the brunette boyfriend said, his smile fading as he shoved his hands in his coat pockets.

"Sora! How fucking oblivious can you be? We've been together for 5 years, and THIS is what you get me for our anniversary? This stupid ass bear?" Kairi said in anger, holding the bear up carelessly. Fueled by anger, she hucked the bear onto the street and huffed, "Smarten up." She said and crossed her arms.

The hurt boy widened his eyes when Kairi tossed the bear onto the road. He looked at her and sighed, "Well I want to keep it." He said and walked onto the road without looking.

The next thing Kairi knew she heard a horn honk and crunches of breaking bones. "Sora! NO!"

Kairi couldn't believe Sora was gone… and it was all her fault.

She was standing in a black skirt and a black sweater, at her boyfriend's funeral, holding the teddy Sora had given her the week before. The tears stung her eyes as she hugged the bear to her chest and buried her face into its fuzz. Suddenly the bear spoke and Sora's voice came from the recorded message, "Will you marry me, Kairi?" The red head couldn't stop her sobs from escaping her throat. She opened the back of the bear, where there was a crease. She took out a small blue box and opened it, finding an engagement ring, brand new and shining in her moist eyes.

I read this really sad, really small story on FB. It made me cry and sob like a little kid. I thought I would share it with you, only with Sora and Kairi because I couldn't think of a more perfect couple for this. The main story I read:

A girl wanted a ring. But the boy gave her a teddy bear instead. In anger, the girl threw the bear on the road. The boy wanted to take it back but he was hit by a coming car and died. At his funeral the girl hugged the bear and the machine in it poke, "Will you marry me?" Guess what she found inside it, a ring.
