Hermione was getting use to life at the manor and being the only muggleborn to become a death eater's wife was a big responsibility. She never knew why the Dark Lord allowed them to be married. All she knew is she worked her butt off to prove she was right to even stand amongst them. Which she did. For her whole summer she was his apprentice next to Bellatrix, gathering information and being scrunched in a library reading all day. To Draco's disbelief…she actually missed that job. It was funny how the Dark Lord became a father figure in less then 2 months. Bellatrix stopped throwing bloodline slurs and learned to shut up, Hermione would purposely write speeches with words she couldn't pronounce which caused her to learn to respect Hermione.

Now the wedding had past it had been a few months and Hermione was learning her way around the manor. The war had started a while back and attacks had been surged but for the past month it had seemed there was no war at all. Hermione was with Draco when his arm burned. She simply had learned from Narcissa to keep her distance when this happened. Being the loving wife she was she followed Draco to the hidden place where they met because the Dark Lord requested her acquaintance. Hermione simply was nervous…the last time she had even spoke to the Dark Lord was the day before there wedding and they had a meeting with him and talked about the importance of marriage and how to keep it together…funny he knew so much about it. Tonight he had different plans. This was not to talk about an heir or about speeches needed to be written this was about something for less expected from any death eater let alone Lord Voldemort.

"Excuse me…" Hermione, said shocked.

Voldemort smirked "We have to send our couples into hiding. This is the only way."

Hermione said, "Because I'm…I mean because I come from a muggle household I'm suppose to know these things?"

"Correction my dear…you don't suppose you do know." He hissed.

She then looked at him with honesty and said "My Lord, I don't know…I am not misleading your words or disbelieving them…I am just stunned by your capacity to think or know that I am right or even worthy to take this position."

He looked down at the young woman, Draco was a lucky man to marry her but still her blood was unpure and to that he always had the urge to turn in disgust but her knowledge and beauty made up for what her blood lacked.

She then looked into the blood red eyes and then said, "I will do great things in your honor." She bowed and took his mission.
