"One Nation Under God?"
Two centuries before we were born,
Our forefathers made this country,
A country of liberty and power,
With the result of war and treaty.
They won us our nation that we have today,
Through God's mercy and glory,
And we honor our forefathers today,
By telling them the thrilling war stories.
While we talk about our ancestors,
That dreamed the freedom wing,
We are like a child who is mental,
That had forgotten one thing.
We had forgotten our savior,
Who is displeased at our foolishness,
And we the children of our forefathers,
Try to claim that our nation is his righteousness.
Are we a nation under God?
When we are hungry lions,
Devouring the ones who love him,
And sending them quickly to Zion.
Are we a nation under God?
When we take his name out of our schools,
And tell every kid everywhere,
That they can do anything to look cool.
Are we a nation under God?
When we call him a belief,
And say that he is myth,
So that everyone will sigh in relief.
Are we a nation under God?
When we use his name in vain,
And the country eats up dangerous drugs,
To settle our personal problems and pains.
Those things that I just mentioned,
Are just a fraction of the dangers,
That we see in our nation,
When God is not our personal ranger.
Are we really a nation?
A nation that uses God's rules,
From the White House in our capital,
To the littlest of the schools.
Are we praying for our needs?
Are we willing to go to church to worship him?
Are we spreading his love throughout our nation?
Are we telling others about him in the classroom or gym?
If the answer is negative,
For each of these,
We better wake up from our slumber,
Before his wrath will be unleashed.
Again I ask this question,
That strikes guiltiness to our souls,
Are we a nation under God?
Or do we get along with daily tolls?
I cannot answer this question,
It is not for me to decide,
It is for you and the nation only,
If in God's word we shall abide.
