AN: Number one in the story challenge explained on my profile. Prompt of "Rain". Roxas/Hayner.

It was raining, again. For the third day in a row, Roxas sat in the Usual Spot, watching the rain fall and bemoaning the fact that the Sandlot couldn't be used in this weather. This despicable weather that wasn't at all normal in Traverse Town. Olette had said, two days ago, that she was going on holiday with her family, and today they'd left. Pence, it turned out, had been grounded for turning up dripping wet one too many times. So, today it was just him and Hayner. Or it would be, when Hayner actually bothered to turn up. He couldn't arrive on time if you paid him, so Roxas wasn't exactly worried. Not yet, anyway.

Fifteen minutes later, Hayner staggered in, shaking his hair and spraying water all over the place in the process. Glaring, Roxas moved to the far corner, where it was still dry, and unearthed a towel, left behind from the last time they'd gone to the beach. He tossed it at Hayner, hitting him on the head.

"Watch it, Rox."

"Watch where you're flicking water, then."

"Mustn't get that spiky hair of yours wet, of course. Sorry I forgot, Roxas." The voice was sarcastic, but the wide grin showed that Hayner was joking.

It wasn't often that the group was separated, and even more rare that Hayner and Roxas were left alone. Roxas suspected that Olette had worked out that their relationship was more involved than merely friends, but he wasn't entirely sure how. Either way, she never left them alone together for long. Now, however, there was nobody else around, and wouldn't be for the rest of the day. It would be a shame not to take advantage of the opportunity…

………………

"Hey, Rox, Hayner…" Pence's voice trailed off as he took in the situation. Roxas and Hayner, his two male friends, were kissing fiercely, and hadn't even noticed his arrival. Even more strangely than that, they had their hands down the other's trousers. Deciding it would be best if he left them to it, and pretend he hadn't seen a thing, Pence backed away, out of the Usual Spot, into the driving rain. Maybe Olette could explain this to him when she got back…

AN: Someone (and I forget who) said if I wrote another story with this pairing then they'd read it. Hope you like.
