Chapter 1.
Gregor and his family had moved to Virginia after their grandmother had died and they couldn't persuade their mother to stay in NYC.
Gregor sat on his bed in his room on the second floor and looked out the window at Lizze
who helped their dad with the garbage. Gregor felt that he was kinda hungry so started walking down the stairs and he saw that Gregor's mom already boiling water for the pasta and Boots who now was 6 years old and rather wanted to be called Margaret helped dining and just then Lizze and Gregor's dad came in.
- Come Gregor it's time for dinner Gregor's mom practically screamed.
- I'm already here Gregor said.
- Oh ok please sit down she said.
Everybody sat down and started eating, Lizze just looked at pasta and didn't eat just looked and was probably thinking of the Underland, the place where Gregor had falled down with his younger sister Margaret or Boots four years ago. Gregor had been thinking about it much too but Margaret had forgot almost everything because she was just two years old when she fell down with Gregor. But Gregor couldn't forget anything although their mom had always wanted them to forget that place.
How could he forget if his only friends where down there Gregor thought. He only one friend in the Overland and that was Jack. Jack was not that popular neither was Gregor and once at lunch Jack had sat next to him and they became friends.
Gregor stood up and thanked for the food and went to his room fell asleep immediately because he had been in the gym for 2 hours. He had gotten into lifting after they came up from the Underland and had done it ever since. Gregor wakes up because of his alarm clock he hates waking up at 6 a clock. He went out to the bathroom and washed his face. Gregor looked in the mirror and saw a fifteen year old boy, pretty muscular almost six inches long hair he hadn't really bothered getting a better haircut.
He got dressed and walked downstairs and took a toast and his backpack and walked out of his house and walked to the bus station while he waited for the bus popped in his headphones and then the bus came he sat in the in the front of the buss and fell asleep he just waked up in front of the school and walked of the bus.
Gregor stood at his locker and thought about what classes he had. He had math and then biology after that lunch and then history.
After his first classes he went to the cafeteria he sat down at one of the tables. Someone sat down next to him he didn't look.
- Hey Jack Gregor said.
- Do i really look like him a female voice said
Gregor looked over surprised.
- Oh sorry i thought you where Jack Gregor said still a bit surprised.
It was one of the most popular girls in school her name was Rebecka and he never thought she would talk to someone like him.
- I didn't want to disturb you i just wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the dance with me she said.
Gregor looked stunned he still was not really over Luxa but he still wanted to live a normal life in the Overland.
- Yes i want to go with you Gregor said.
