Naruto Uzumaki, a boy of about 14, he had spiky blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. His appearance was not that of an average 14 year old ninja, most ninjas his age should wear dark colours so that they may blend in well with surroundings during missions, Naruto had missed many class lessons before he became a genin and he definitely didn't hear the lesson on appropriate dress because his basic attire was a bright orange jumpsuit and a loud attitude.

One warm morning in the village of Konoha, Naruto decided that he should treat himself to a bowl of steaming hot pork ramen, because he had not died in the previous trials, The Chunin exams! On his way to his favourite restaurant, The Ichiraku noodle house, he met one of his team, the loud beautiful Sakura Haruno, this girl was Sasuke obsessed and nearly every sentence of hers had Sasuke as a reference. He greeted her, asking her to join him for some ramen so that they may get to know each other better… but as per usual his reply was a scream of insults followed by more Sasukereferences. That had done it! Naruto was sick to the teeth of Sasuke this and Sasuke that, the young blonde had heard that Sasuke the brave was in the training grounds today! A perfect chance for the orange ninja legend to teach his team-mate a lesson!

Naruto ran past Sakura, covering his ears as she screamed at Ino Yamanaka about Sasuke.

When Naruto had arrived at the training grounds, he was greeted by a number of kunai and shuriken, which he had quickly dodged. The Chunin exams had gives him a lot of experience and new ways of doing things. Sasuke jumped off the tree he had been concealed in.
"Very nice, Idiot" he smirked. Naruto glared at his rival, Naruto may not have been as smart as Sasuke but he was just as strong.
"I've come to train with you Sasuke!!"

Sasuke flicked his bangs away from his face and looked at the young blonde, they shared a silence that could have scared even the most deadly ninja… after a while Sasuke nodded and threw himself into a fighting stance. Naruto copied only seconds after.

After about an hours worth of training the boys collapsed next to a tree and looked at each other, a silence fell on the training grounds for a long time before Naruto broke it.
" Y'know Sasuke, I think we're pretty even when it comes to chakra…heh"

Sasuke smiled at this comment because he knew it was true. He nodded before falling over from exhaustion. Naruto smiled at his team-mate, both he and Sasuke knew that even though they were rivals as ninja, they were friends as boys. Naruto pulled Sasuke up so that his back firmly rested against the tree, they smiled for a while creating yet another silence.

This time Sasuke broke it by slowly placing his hand on top of Naruto's.

The young boy shivered as he stared into Naruto's eyes. The blonde could tell that his team-mate was unwell so he took off his jumper and put it around Sasuke's shoulders. Sasuke looked ungrateful but Naruto knew he was happy.

After a while of simple talking Sasuke shook the jumper off and pulled Naruto into a hug,
"Thanks idiot…"

Naruto smiled as a red colour flooded into his face, Sasuke looked at him and smiled, was he really feeling this way about the idiot? Thoughts similar to these flew through his brain as he and Naruto shared a kiss that they would never forget.
