From My Future to Your Past

If a stranger suddenly said 'I love you' to you… what would you do?

"Ace?"

Ace was honestly surprised as that man suddenly showed up and called his name from behind while he was trying to kill those people that dared making fun of him. He masked his surprise with a suspicious glare though.

"What, are you with them as well?" Ace asked coldly.

When the spiky dark haired man suddenly fell on his butt, Ace wanted to laugh, but he held it.

"Why… did this happen? You're supposed to be…." The guy stopped and Ace could see the painful expression that confused him.

"Huh?" Why was he making that kinda face?

Then that man started laughing. "I can't believe this… This must have been a dream," he said, still laughing like a nuts.

"Freak," Ace rolled his eyes and was about to leave when suddenly that man called and grabbed his arm.

"Wait, Ace!"

Ace turned back and glared, "What?" he's starting to get on Ace's nerves.

"I love you," he grinned and Ace couldn't help feeling WTF!?

"What the hell—!?" Ace was totally shocked and confused. He honestly didn't understand what this guy was thinking. Was he a pervert or something!? Yet he couldn't help as the heat started rising on his cheeks.

"I only want you to know that… because I probably won't be able to say it to you when you're older."

Ace felt the grip tightened. "Huh?" he was beyond confused now. What the hell this guy was saying? That didn't make any sense at all!

"I wish I could tell you more often though…," he smiled softly and Ace couldn't help blushing as he saw the caring-loving gaze he threw at him.

Did he seriously…?

When he slowly released his hand from Ace, he said "I am glad… I can say it now…."

Then Ace saw it, that face. He knew that face. It was…

"Luffy…?" Ace widened his eyes when he was slowly disappearing. His smile looked so sad and lonely Ace wanted to grasp him only to wipe away that sad smile.

"Ace?" Little Luffy called from behind and Ace gasped a little. "What's wrong?" Luffy looked concerned.

"Ah…," Ace didn't realize that tears had wetted his cheeks. "Eh…?"

Ace didn't understand, but he was happy. He was happy beyond recognition and he hugged the confused little Luffy with all of his heart.

"I love you too…," Ace whispered slightly in a small grateful smile.
