A/N: So I'm really procrastinating on my story "Not Again" and I was totally planning on updating it today but this story hit me suddenly while I was at the dollar store (yea yea you know you shop there too) and I had to write it down so enjoy…
In the movies the female lead always asks the male lead if he would catch her if she fell. Sara Sidle, being a secret movie junkie has seen countless romantic movies and read countless books where this question is asked. Personally she thinks it's a retarded question. Like him saying 'yes or of course' will show you that he truly loves you. But what they don't show you is after the credits when the guy causes the girl to fall and then laughs. Being a CSI she has seen countless Cinderella stories that have ended in the girl blowing the guys head off and burying his sorry butt in the Everglades or feeding him to a tiger at the zoo. During her senior year of high school she had a boyfriend name Jake who was a hopeless romantic. One day after taking her to a hill where they could watch the sunset he turned to her and told her that he would catch her if she fell. In response she hugged him and told him she loved him. Actually she kneed him in the groin, called him a liar, and pushed him down the hill. Then she keyed his brand new fire-engine red Corvette and walked home. Needless to say he never talked to her again. No girl needed to be caught if she was able to land on her feet. That is until Greg Sanders came into the picture. He was able to make her laugh and cry a very lethal combination to Sara. He knew her inside and out. One day to escape for a little while she sat in the very back of the locker room. He showed up a couple of seconds later. He didn't say anything, or try to comfort her he just sat next to her their shoulder their only physical connection but they had an emotional bond that never ceased to amaze her. Sara had no doubt in her mind that Greg would catch her if she fell and he never felt the need to tell her. She did, however, ask him another question during another one of their escaping sessions. Greg was sitting up against the lockers, his head titled back and his eyes closed.
"If I tried to jump would you stop me?" her voice merely a whisper still bounced off the silence that enclosed them.
Her question didn't seem fazed him in the slightest bit. Without even opening his eyes he answered.
"Always will"
A/N: It probably doesn't make sense but I couldn't sleep without writing it down so there it is. Remember that tiny button (whatever the stupid color is) is my only friend.
