A/N – Too all of you that are reading 'Road Trip – New York' sorry haven't updated recently. Freya is ill and we both have exams. We have however nearly finished two chapters that once we both have read we will post. Just A little something as History revision was driving me insane.
When you are about to die, your whole life is meant to flash before your eyes. Temperance Brennan could feel the life draining out of her. Her head throbbed and eyes stung from the unshed tears that had formed. For the first time in six years Booth wasn't here. She had pushed him away and all she could do now was sit there on her own. She had now 'faith' left. Booth was her 'faith,' all the 'faith' that she had was in him. The thought that he would come and save her had kept her going time and time again, over the past six years when she had been in trouble. Now he was gone and now she really needed him and he wasn't there because she had pushed him away. Over the last six years they had been Best Friend's and Partners, Over the last two years they had been Lovers, Best Friend's and Partners. The spent their days working and the rest of the time enjoying each other. In the past two years they had spent most days together and every night.
However today she felt that her deepest fear was going to be realised, that she was going to be left once again by someone that she loved. She had seen Cam and Booth in a compromising position. She had run out of the Jeffersonian and gone home without uttering a word to either of them, she didn't want her presence to be known. When Booth had come home that night her bags were already packed. He begged with her, pleaded with her, tried to tell her what had happened. She however hadn't listened to a word of it. Her mind wouldn't let her. It told her to get out know, by her own choice, whilst she still had some control over her emotion. Her mind told her that getting out now would cause her less pain, it was her decision. She left her final words to Seeley were that he wasn't to come after her, she was going away for a while to sort herself out. She would come for her stuff at a later time. The look on his face as she walked out THEIR door was heart breaking. Never had she seen him look like this.
This was how she came to be like this sat in her crumpled car, alone. She had been cut off by another vehicle and crashed into a wall, the other car hadn't stopped so she lay there, helpless. It wasn't her life that flashed before her eyes was Seeley, his face, and an image of her life with him. Not once did she see all of the great places she had visited, all the good things she had done. Nothing like that, all she saw was him. As she lost consciousness she heard him call her name, she couldn't place were the sound was coming from as she drifted into the darkness.
A/N2 – What do you think? It turned out a bit Angsty and I don't know why. Funny that. Please Review. I might continue if I get enough people asking me to. Whatever happens it won't be more than three or four chapters. Thanks again. Amy x
