Why do friendships die?

Kaoru Kamayia was sitting at her lunch table eating (duh), she was thinking of her "friends" well who use to be her friends. They were now sitting at the preeps/popular table.

Why don't tears fade away?

She felt a tear fade down her face she quickly whipped it a way, 'its just another day', she thought.

Why can't things be like the good old days?

Flash back

Kaoru, Kenshin, Misao, Sano, Aoshi, and Megumi were out side during recess in fifth grade, they were happy, but most of all they were friends.

Why is it when I look around I end up staring at the ground?

Kaoru looked at the table getting the attention of Kenshin and Misao, Kaoru quickly averted her gaze to the ground.

Why is it when I see an old familiar face an acknowledgement is never placed?

The bell rang for them to go to class, Kaoru quickly got up and left her lonely table, she had her head down so she couldn't see what she was doing, then she ran into someone. "oh sorry" she said then looked up to see Kenshin, he looked at her gave her a quick look that she couldn't describe then left her standing there.

Why do friendships die?

Kaoru sat at home with a razor in her hand, she thought back to Kenshin and the look he gave her that day at lunch, he didn't care.

Why don't tear fade away?

She felt another tear go down her face, this time she didn't care. She cut down on her skin. Half an hour later, Kaoru Kamayia was dead.

Why don't you ask me some other day?

Two days later a funereal was taking place for Kaoru. At her funereal there were four teenagers, Kenshin, Misao, Sano, and Aoshi. The priest read her journal and on the very last page in blood there was one word and one question, Why?
