The Traveler a being of pure light and power one who brought eras of greatness to many, but its ancient enemy the darkness always followed bringing ruin to every civilization it encountered. Eventually the traveler reached humanity and did what it could to prepare them for the coming darkness, it came and when it did there was no stopping it at least until the traveler was pierced by a powerful blast fired from the great warmind Rasputin and could not run any longer and was forced to fight the darkness head on. In the end the Traveler sacrificed itself to create the Ghosts and by extent the Guardians but it had a special task for one particular Ghost
Traveler(imagine the visions of light voice from forsaken): My son, my little light there are more who have need of the light and I can not reach them. go, seek out a suitable guardian and defend that world till i can come to save them
And so the Ghost Left it traveled through space and crossed the borders of our universe to enter another eventually it arrived at a planet with a shattered moon, but it had been followed by one of what had brought humanity so close to extinction
?1: My kell we have traced a piece of the great machine to this world it wonders the planet as we speak/span/p
?2: very good let the other houses squabble over the great machine and fight against the other races this piece is ours and ours alone
