It's been at least a month since she saw Bruce, Ever since that night she has tried her best to keep herself busy away from the GCPD where he spent most of his time. With most of the stores closed now in Gotham Selina had to figure out plan B.
Her breathes were heavy as Her feet move fast trying to reach their location while she keeps replaying the situation she's now in over and over in her head.
After having a small argument to the "league of morons" as Selina calls them she enter the club to see Barbra and Tabitha. "Hey kid where have you been?" Tabitha asks as she sharpens the blade to her small knife that she usually keeps in a garter around her thigh. "Places,getting stuff done,trying my best to find that deadman Jeremiah" Selina says in a hurry earning a curious look from not just Tabitha but Barbra to. "Okay kit kat" Barbra says returning her attention to the map she has spread out on the bar counter.
"Anyways where is the medicine tote?" Selina asks as she twiddles her thumbs. "In the back, why are you okay?" Asks Tabitha as she has that special big sister tone Barbra always admired in her. "What,yeah I'm fine just a little sore" Selina says rubbing her arm pretending to hurt even though that wasn't where the problem was, nope not one bit. "Yeah so I'm just gonna.." Selina says as she jesters towards the back where the medicine tote was.
"come on,Come on,COME ON" Selina says in frustration as she searches through the small bag, one of many, that was labeled " feminine" on it. "Ahh found ya" Selina gasps in relief as she pulls out what she was looking for. "Selina?" A calm voice says behind her. Her breath hitches as she slowly turns around to see Tabitha with a look in her eyes she never saw before.
She has seen Tabitha show concern before but this was different. "Is that..." "yeah" Selina finishes the question Tabitha was about to ask. "Before you get mad I just want to tell you I didn't mean for this to happen I didn't want this to happen." Selina says with worry in her voice as it cracks little by little as tears begin to slowly form. "I know and I'm not mad" Tabitha says.
"Your not?" Selina is shocked she thought that If anything happened Tabitha and Barbra would have her head on a pike. "I know you didn't want this to happen what seventeen year old does, I just want you to know I'm here for you" Tabitha says as she slides her back down the wall sitting on the floor next to Selina. Selina gives Tabitha a small smile before turning her head back to the box that says "pregnancy test"
It said wait three minutes and in those three minutes all Selina could think about was the event that happened to get herself in this situation.
As the turned the corner they came to a dead end. "Great now what?" Selina she huffs in frustration and they look around to find a way out. "I have an idea but you not gonna like it" Bruce says as he retracts a gun from his holster on his right leg. "What,your gonna shoot them remember what happen the last time you killed someone" Selina asks with sarcasm in her voice.
"Not that kind of gun, hold on tight" Bruce instructed as his arm wrapped around Selina's waist which honestly caught her off guard, the only time he touched her waist was when he was holding her telling her "it was gonna be okay" after she tried to take her life. Selina was in a dark place after she woke up from the hospital knowing she might never walk again she thought all hope was lost but after three months of training with Bruce after her attempt she was fully able to run and fight in combat.
The sound of the gun goes off as a grappling hook reaches the roof as it brings them up just before the gang members turn the corner. They land on the roof rather roughly as their bodies roll over one another. "Ugh" Selina groaned as she lifts her body up from the hard pebbles placed on the roof.
"You good?" Bruce ask as he lifts his body up grabbing the gun putting it back in its holster. "Yeah, you?" Selina asks as she rubs herself off noticing the fabric that ripped from the fall right on the thigh of her suit. "Yeah just a small slice" he says taking off his glove to reveal a very deep looking cut on his hand. "must of been from one of the goons" Bruce says. "That doesn't look good" Selina says walking over to him looking a the cut more closely.
"Like your any better" he says glancing down at the torn spot on her suit where she starts noticing a little blood forming. "Hey that's a small scratch, yours needs stitches I have an old flat around two blocks away I have stuff to stitch you up and my old suit" Selina says as she starts making her way down the Ladder. "Wait are they gone?" Bruce stops her. "Yeah and besides we're going the back way." She says before continuing down the ladder.
Bruce relieves a small moan of pain as Selina puts the needle through his skin one more time before finishing stitching his hand. "There you go" She says as she cuts the thread with a rust pair of scissors. "Thanks" he says taking a closer look at his hand before his phone dings. Removing her boots then she slowly reaches for the zipper Selina unzips he suit stepping out of it one leg at a time.
"Hey Alfred wants us back" Bruce says before turning his attention the girl standing just in her bra and underwear on her tiptoes reaching for her extra suit on the top of the shelf. "Tell Jeeves we'll be the as soon as we can" she says as she finally reaches her suit turning around to see bruce staring. "Your staring" she says confronting him. "Um sorry" Bruce says clearly flustered which Selina picks up on.
"Have you ever touched a girl before" Selina says smirking remebering asking him the same question when they were little but that was about kissing her goal was just to embarrass him but little did she know it was gonna turn into something more.
"I mean some groping was involved when I made out with some girls but not they way I would if I was with you" Bruce says walking closer to her. This was when she knew her joke was backfiring as her breath was hitched and heart beating fast on how close he was. If this was the game he wanted to play so be it.
"Really? And how would that go down" she says smirking a little knowing she put him in an uncomfortable place he pulls probably give up now but nope bruce wasn't going to cave that easily. They both knew what was gonna happen but who gave in first that was the question. "Well I would do this" he says in a low almost whisper tone as he brings his lips to hers as his arms wrap around her waist.
His lips travel to her neck leaving marks all over as his hands travel a bit lower down her back before bringing his lips to her ear and whispered. "I'm gonna drive you wild" before pulling away as his eyes meets her she could swear they went a shade darker. "Then do it" she whispered before he hoists he up in his arms as her lips connect to his. Setting them down on the mattress in the corner bruce removes his shirt just before Selina rolls them over so now she's on top

The ringing brought Selina out of her thoughts and back to reality. Looking over at Tabitha one more time before picking up the test from the counter still not looking at it until she returns to the floor with Tabitha. "Honestly where have you two bee..." Barbra stops in her tracks as she sees Selina with the test in her hand. "What does it say kit kat" Barbra says calmly before Selina takes a deep breath before looking down at the stick. No words come out just tears flowing threw her eyes as she brings he head to her knees. "Oh Selina" Tabitha says befor wrapping her arms around her before Barbra joins them. "It's gonna be okay kid" Barbra says rubbing Selina's head trying to calm her down. "How is it gonna be okay? I'm seventeen how am I gonna raise a baby?" Selina asks in between sobs. "You need to tell him"
She pulls the doors open to the GCPD. "Selina?" Gordon asks leaning over the top floor balcony.
"seriously Gordon with all the stuff that's happening I shouldn't be able to waltz in here you need security." Selina says as she sends him a sly look.
"duly noted" he says in his low voice. "Where's Bruce" she asks looking around. "Selina, what are you doing here?" Bruce says coming out of one of the doors leading to the examination room. "Hey um is there a place we can talk" she says a bit awkwardly. "Yeah sure"
They enter one of the interrogation rooms as Bruce closes the door behind him. "So what's up I haven't seen you since um..." "yeah I know I'm sorry about that just been dealing with stuff. I um I need to tell you something" Selina says trying to focus her attention on anything but his eyes. "Yeah What is it?"
"I'm pregnant" god the words sounded too weird coming out of Selina's mouth she honestly didn't think she would say those words EVER. Her eyes slowly look up to his own. "Your pregnant wow um..wow" Bruce says trying to wrap his head around it. "Look bruce I don't know what to do and you know I don't get scared easily but Bruce I'm freaking terrified." Selina says as tears start streaming out her eyes. "I don't know what to do I can't even" Selina was cut off with Bruce wrapping his arms around her. "Shh it's gonna be okay alright I promise we'll figure this out"
"I think we should give the baby up for adoption" Selina says into his shoulder. Bruce slowly let's go looking at her a bit different now. "Adoption?" He says with some curiosity in his voice he obviously he had other ideas. "Bruce we can't raise a baby at seventeen and certainly not in Gotham" Selina states trying to back up her idea. "We can try" he says in defense
Selina never had good luck with children and never had good encounters with them and each time it would break her heart little by little. There was a small part of her that wanted to be a mother and ever since she found out that she was pregnant that part has been becoming more and more dominant. She still had her doubts.
All she could do is walk out of the interrogation room to the medical room to think for a bit. Bruce let's out a groan before exiting the interigation room to see three men looking at him all with different exspressions on their faces. The one he cared most about was Alfred who had a calm look on his face which made Bruce wonder. "We'll talk later" Bruce says in a frustrated voice.
"Found valeska" lucious says coming down the stairs "he's in a abondand warehouse in the narrows, the building is probably the only one with electricity so if we cut it off it wouldn't be too suspicious but we would have to work fast" Lucius says setting a map out on a desk. "Okay So what's the plan?" Alfred asks.
"Well chances are their are gaurds at every exit, in the back exit there is only one usually so you two will head through the back way" he gestures towards Bruce and Selina. "I don't you coming with us" Bruce says turning to the right towards Selina narrowing her eyes in confusion. "I don't want to be risking the baby"
"Baby? What baby?" Lucius asks completely lost. "Forget it, I'm coming I can take care of myself" she says sternly. "Okay. Anyway, while you two do that we'll handle the front and meet inside"
"Alright you stay here while I knock out the guard" Bruce says turning around to see nobody there. "Selina?" He hears a grunt before a body dropping turning to see Selina with a cinderblock in her hand over the guard clearly she just knocked him out. "Yeah great plan" she says smirking dropping the cinderblock
Once they were inside the tunnels were long like the tunnels he ran through trying to find Alfred but these were different these had more light to them. "Selina I understand we're your coming from but can you at least see this from my perspective, I know we could support this baby-" "yeah Bruce YOU can I can't no kid want to have me as a mother" Selina says stopping in her tacks. "Our kid does I know it"
"Looks like the cat does have nine lives" the two turned around to see the pale face phyco which made Selina steaming with rage. She wanted to make him pay for what he did,she didn't just want to kill him she wanted to torture him as long as she could and then kill him. "Guess I'll have to use eight bullets this time" Jeremiah says raising his gun. That rage that she felt turned to fear real quick she closed her eyes until she heard a thud but not shots.
She opened to see bruce in front of her but Jeremiah on the floor knocked out and Harvey behind him holding the gun he just used to knock him over the head. "This is why you kids listen and meet us where you were supposed to" Selina couldn't focus as the tears started forming in her eyes thinking about what could of just happened.
Once they reached the GCPD and locked up Jeremiah they had time to relax until he came to for questioning. "Hey" she whispered to the boy sitting on the stairs. "Hey you okay" he asked "Yeah fine I just I need to tell you something" he took this as a sign to scoot over. She take a seer next to him as her heart beats a bit faster every second. "So what's up"
"I think I felt what fear feels like, I mean I've been scared before but not like I was, I wasn't scared of dying, I was terrified of loosing the baby and it just got me thinking about what you said and..."
"And?"
"And I think I wanna keep the baby I was just scared that I would screw this kid up like my ass of a mother screwed me up."
"Hey you are NOT screwed up not one bit selina, and yes she's an ass but she brought me one of the best things in my life and I can tell you right now your gonna be a great mother cause you already want the best for this baby"
After a few seconds of just looking at each other Selina leaned over connecting her lips to his.
"I should go talk to Alfred"
"Yeah you should" she whispers before hey stands up to go find Alfred.
"Bruce?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you take that bullet for me If I wasn't pregnant?"
"In a heartbeat"
"Ahh Bruce I do hope you talked with ms. Kyle" Alfred says sensing his presence behind him as he continues polishing his shoes. "Yeah,yeah I did and um we want to keep the baby" Bruce says with his hands in his pockets taking a seat across from Alfred. "I knew she would change her mind"
"What? You knew?"
"Bloody right I knew"
"What, whe-,how?"
"It was around two weeks ago, I was running to get some supplies when I saw he hunched over a garbage can vomiting her poor guts out. So I went to check if she was okay and you know selina the first thing she says is "she's fine" but I stayed with her to make sure until she started crying and it took no Genius to figure it out.
All the time I knew ms.kyle she's been very tough but this Bruce, this broke her. She talked about how scared she was and if she was pregnant she didn't know what to tell you and how she was gonna handle a baby"
"So you knew that she was in trouble for two weeks and didn't tell me?!?"
"It wasn't my place bruce"
Month 9 sirens club
"Are you freaking kidding me" Selina groans as another contraction hits. "We need a doctor" Bruce says sitting next to selina on one of the booths rubbing her back.
"Look around billionaire boy the city doesn't really have any doctors right now" Barbra yells a little pissed Selina went into labor in their club.
"Well we need to do something!" He yells back. "Guys stop fight-oh" Selina groans as she grabs her stomach over her long grey sweater which is the only things that fit her.
"We need to do something like now! Tabitha yells before Alfred speaks up
"Okay Barbra move the other booth over to this one so she has room to lay down,tabitha get some blankets or towels or something,scissors, some gloves,water and morphine"
"No, no morphine" Selina says between groans
"What why not it will help with the pain?"
Bruce ask still rubbing her back.
"It might help with the pain but it can depress the baby's ability to breath, I've done my research"she huffs
"Okay no morphine" Alfred says
"I'm gonna take off your leggings and underwear okay?" Bruce tells selina kneeling down in front of her before she nods fast
"Okay" he whispers reaching up her long sweater that went all the way down and stopped right above her knee and grabs the ends of her black leggings and underwear and pulls them down her legs and places them on the booth next to her.
For a moment he had a small flash back of when she confronted him in the club while he was partying. If only he knew she would be the mother of his child not only a year later.
He moves over as Barbra pushes the other booth next to this one so she has room to lay down. "Okay we're gonna lay down know okay" he tells her.
"Yeah okay" she nods as she grabs Bruce's hand as he helps her get situated on the bed like booth.
"Okay, water,towels,scissors,and gloves" tabitha says placing them down on the booth. Before she sits on the other side of Selina.
"Alright Selina,ready?" Alfred asks grabbing the gloves from the booth.
"Wait your gonna deliver the baby?" Barbra ask"
"Yes and I'm gonna need your help as long as that's okay with ms.kyle" he says looking at Selina in agony.
"I don't-ughgh-care" she groans
"Fine" Barbra says kneeling on the ground next to Alfred.
"Alright I need you to wet some towels for the blood and the baby" he instructs
"Okay selina ready to push dear" Alfred asks
"Ugh like I have a damn choice" she yells grabbing both Bruce and tabithas hands on each side of her.
"Alright push"
Almost an hour later Selina is exhausted and the baby has only moved an inch or two.
"Okay selina give me one big push" Alfred instructs.
"Ugg I can't I can't" she says crying as Tabitha wipes her hair from her sweaty forehead.
"Hey,hey look at me you can do this" Bruce says looking strongly in her eyes. "I can't-"yes you can,do it, do it for him" Bruce says gripping her hand.
Maybe around two months ago selina and Bruce has to decide on baby names they mostly picked out boy names cause selina had a feeling it was a boy even though Bruce had a feeling it was a girl.
"For him" she whispers before Bruce nodded agreeing "for him"
He wipes her tears away with his finger before she gets all the might for one big push.
Moments later the hear a loud cry.
"It's a girl" Alfred says cutting the cord as Barbra wipes her off.
"It's a girl, it's our daughter" Selina whispers as she cries a bit more as Bruce gives her a kiss on her forehead.
"You did it" Tabitha says with a smile so big she hasn't felt this much happiness since butch.
Once Barbra is down she wraps the baby up and hand her to Bruce as Selina tries to sit up just a little to see her daughter. "She smiles when she's sees the black hair on her baby's hair the same color as Bruce's.
Small tears of joy leave Bruce's eyes. Before he hands her off to selina. She smiles down at her newborn before giving her a kiss on her forehead. "Hi baby girl I'm you mama ad this is your daddy and aunt tabby, I love you so much"she whisper
The next day
It was amazing selina was up and moving after giving birth just hours ago but they moved themselves back to the GCPD to be welcomed by Gordon,Harvey,and Lucius. "So you left so go make a deal come back with a ba-ah, you had the baby!" Havent exclaims.
"We did" Bruce says wrapping his arm around selina and their newborn daughter. "Congrats guys what's her, her right?" Lucius asks. "Yes her" Selina says with a smile. "Yeah what's her name?"
"Her name is Lydia,Lydia Martha wayne"
For those wondering why not Helena, I wanted to put my own twist on it but Helena will make her way into my future stories
