Draco's Secret

Hermione looked into her pensive in confusion. The was one memory she didn't...remember.
It floated along with all the others and bobbled up at the surface several times. As Hermione looked closer... she noticed two small figures.
Her younger self, and a mysterious young boy. Hermione assumed they were about five because of the childish way they were playing in the park.
In some way... the boy seemed familiar. He had short, brown hair and piercing blue eyes. Hermione tried to distinguish who this boy was and leaned in too close to the pensive and fell into her own forgotten memory.

Hermione was playing on the swings and so was the boy.
They looked at each other competitively and gained in speed as they swung.
"I'm better than you." The boy said with a very familiar smirk.
"I'm faster." Hermione's younger form giggled.
"Prove it." The boy drawled. Hermione swung forwards with all her might and gained in speed.
She was getting so fast that if she went any faster, her swing would tip over and she'd fall out.
"That's nothing." The boy muttered and caught up to her speed easily.
"I bet I can jump further than you." Hermione smiled.
"Yeah, right." The boy rolled his eyes. "Whoever wins, buys both of us an ice cream." He drawled. Hermione thought it over before finally agreeing.
"On the count of three." She stated. "One. two, THREE!" Hermione announced and they leapt out of their swings.
Dirt flew up from the grassless ground and made them splutter.
When the present Hermione looked, she saw the boy take his chance and cheat his way further than her younger self.
"Hey!" She shouted but it was no use. It was only a memory.
"I win!" The boy smirked.
"I saw you cheat!" The younger Hermione protested.
"No I didn't." The boy lied.
"Then why are there footprints leading to the spot you are now?" She grinned.
"I-I... Fine." The boy rolled his eyes and took five galleons from his pocket.
"What's that?" She pointed.
"It's my mum and dad's money. Strange isn't it?" He said searching the rest of his pockets.
"Don't worry, I have money." Hermione sighed depressingly and pulled some muggle money from her pocket.
The boy grinned.
"I'm Draco by the way. Draco Malfoy." He smiled and held his hand out to be shaken.
"Nice to meet you Draco. I'm Hermione Granger." She blushed and took his hand as they walked out together.

So that's who the mystery boy was! Hermione scoffed after she'd landed back into the present time.
She had befriended her worst enemy.
And she even paid money for him when he cheated!
Hermione's frown changed when she soon realised.
Draco had a secret...
his hair wasn't naturally blonde.
This would be good blackmail for the future...

"Hi love." Draco smiled and kissed his beloved wife. "What's made you so happy?" He smirked.
"Oh, I was just looking into that pensive you bought me for my birthday." Hermione shrugged.
"Something's up. Spill it." Draco smirked.
"Do you really want to know?" Hermione smiled mysteriously.
"That's what I just said." Draco rolled his eyes impatiently.
"I know your secret." She winked as she ruffled Draco's hair and left the room.
"Damn!" He muttered as he stroked his dyed hair.
