Klaroline- Klaus in wolf form

Caroline tossed in her sleep and gasped jerking awake. The image of Silas' face clear as day in her head. She sat there in her bed, sweat dripping down her face. Her heart pounding in her head. She got up and walked over to the window, not to make sure it was locked like most people do, but to see if he was still there. He being the giant grey wolf that sat outside her window at night when he thought she didn't see him. But she always saw him there.

She watched him sitting there, head resting on his paws watching the space outside her window protectively. It should be enough. It should be enough to know he was there, protecting her but it wasn't. It didn't stop the nightmares that she was sure he heard her having. She pulled her night gown over her pj's and tapped the window. The wolf's eyes shot up to meet hers. There was guilt in Klaus' eyes. Guilt for being there and guilt for getting caught. He expected himself to be shooed away as Caroline opened the window slowly.
"Hey," she said and he stood up to look at her. He waited to be sent away but there was this softness in her eyes. She was tired from nightmare filled nights. "Come," she said and he stared at her as if I a little confused by her words. "Inside," she said. "Now," she breathed, stepping back for the window. He didn't move for a moment before jumping through the window and into her bedroom. Caroline stared at him for a moment, half expecting him to turn back to his human form and ask her what the hell was going on but he didn't. He just looked up at her with innocent puppy eyes, literally. "It's meant to rain tonight," she said, pulling her night gown closer to her chest. "You should stay in here," she said before turning back to the window and pulling it closed. He didn't bark or growl at her actions; so she continued by climbing into bed.

Klaus looking around the bedroom as she settled in, trying not to watch the way her night grown flowed over her hips. He sat down on the mat by the window as Caroline looked down to him. She smiled softly as she looked at him. "Night," she breathed and this time when she closed her eyes Silas' face didn't appear. She slept perfectly with the comfort of Klaus sitting 2 feet from her, keeping away the nightmares.
