Out here in the quiet of the night,

Vash sits thinking about how to talk to Meryl about his feelings for her. He knows that he loves her and he wants to tell her eagerly. As he sits on that cliff thinking about it, Meryl is in the apartment thinking about the same.

We both know we've got somthing on our minds

We won't admit

But its true.

Meryl is in denial about being in love at all. This can't be love, it can't. I don't like Vash. She knows she loves him but she doesn't want to admit it. She has been hurt too much to love again. Not again. Never again.

Vash and Meryl can't think when around each other. They meet every day and never see eye to eye without fear of rejection.
