Bedtime Stories

"Long ago, when the Knights of King Arthur guarded the land on Camelot from the Saxons, they also guarded it from dragons, though they did not need to, dragons, have always watched over man. The wisest of their race, long before this, when the Frost Giants froze the Earth—"

"Artie! What are Frost Giants?" A small child, around five or six, exclaimed loudly, interrupting his brother.

"Alfred, you know I don't care for that nickname… You do have a point though, I haven't told you about them yet, have I, Alfred?" 'Big brother', otherwise known as Arthur, asks, "Would you like to hear about them instead of King Arthur?"

Alfred thinks for a moment before replying, "Yeah…"

Arthur chuckles as he turns the pages of the large bedtime story book, to the 'No' section, where Norse mythology stories are, he starts again:

"Years and years ago, long before our time, giants that hailed from Jotunheim, one of nine worlds, homeland of both frost and rock giants, the frost giants have always wished to enter Asgard . However, their world is separated from Asgard by a river, which never freezes over. Asgard is the home of the warrior gods, who have-"

Arthur paused, when he looked up, he saw his baby brother, fast asleep in his bed, he never could make it through one story before his dreams took over. So he quietly closes the book, and tucks him in before tip-toeing out of the room, turning the main light off as he left, and making sure the night-light was on. Muttering a 'Sweet dreams', he closes the door, letting little Alfred dream the night away.
