"Hey Max, can I ask you a question?" a small voice came from behind me. I turned and saw a Angel standing behind me, blonde hair bouncing.

"What is it Angel?" I asked, looking into her angel-like face.

"Do you know how longs its been since we last so Fang?" I winced at the name, my heart throbbing with pain.

"Twenty years, honey. I don't think he is coming back," I answered, peering into her blue eyes. "What brought this up?"

"Well remember that promise you made to Fang about meeting him on the mountain side with the hawks? He said that if you still loved him then that you would meet him there in twenty years."

What she was saying was starting to sink in. Me see Fang? After twenty years? I didn't know if my heart could take that much pain and excitement.

"What is all this serious talking about?" Another voice called into the room. Iggy peered through the door, his blind eyes resting on us.

"Nothing much, Iggy," Angel replied. "Just stuff about Fang."

His eyes got wide with understanding and left. I shook my head as he went, a small smile playing across my lips.

"So what are you going to do?" Angel asked, turning back to me. My smile faded. Being about my height now and twenty six, She looked me straight in the face and just stared. I don't know why, but I guess she was reading my mind.

"You are right Max. I am. And deep inside you really want to see Fang right now," she replied, making me jump.

"Ok, pack your things. We are heading to the mountains."

"Wow, how much I have missed this place!" Gazzy yelled over the wind. Souring closer to the mountain side, my heart leapt. What if he was here? Or worse, what if he wasn't here? Or what if he didn't love me anymore? Pain broke through my body at the thought. He probably has a new girlfriend now, I mean, its been twenty years. What if he didn't want to wait for me and had moved on?

I was in my own world when Angels wing nudged mine. "Look!" she yelled, pointing.

In the distance I saw a dark figure flying, hawks surrounding him. My heart caught in my throat. He landed on a rock ledge, looking up at the sky as we descended. My eyes watered at the sight of the deep dark eyes I saw that met mine. His eyes widened, clearly shocked to see me.

I landed on the rock ledge beside him. The flock joined me and buried Fang in a heap of wings and limps. Once the flock detangled themselves from him, he turned to me.

"Hello, Max."
