"Once upon a time, there was a mythical creature who roam through the dark woods. This creature was black as the shadows, eyes bright blue, and appears to have ripped like cloth. This mysterious creature we call…. Darkrai.. for centuries people always cast away this Pokemon as it brings endless nightmares… the Pokemon's loneliness, hatred, and anger grow till one night, it destroyed a village in blinding rage. The Darkrai destroyed houses, barns, crops, whatever it gets in its path. Some lives were lost, both Pokemon and humans. Some fled as they could do nothing but leave their homes that they spent their whole lives, leave loved ones and treasures. "

"Once the village was completely destroyed…. There was just rubble from the buildings and flames devouring stuff. It was quiet as the only sound was heard was the fire crackling. A faint cry was heard, a baby's cry…. the Darkrai snaps out of its rage. It searches for the cry through the rubble till it finds a woman and a baby… the woman was already dead as the rubble has crushed her from the waist down. In the dead woman's arms were a little baby, crying for its mother as it was wrapped in a blanket. The Darkrai felt guilt as it never meant for this to happen… it was tired from being cast away from everyone and torture for so long. The Darkrai took the little baby away from the corpse into its arms. it looked down at the baby as it keep crying, it floats off into the forest for safety"

"Once it got far from the forest, the baby has calmed down. Darkrai looked down at it, eyes blue as any newborns would have. The baby smiles as it reaches for Darkrai's face. Darkrai was confused as it never seen anyone smile at it. Darkrai reaches its claws to it and the newborn smiles and grabs its claws as it giggled. Darkrai let it as it was being careful not to scratch the baby. After a while, the newborn falls asleep and slept through the night peacefully with no nightmares or anything."

"Since then, Darkrai decided to raise it as its own since it was its fault for the death of its mother."

"After a year, Darkrai and the child bond. It wasn't too long till people from a nearby village found the child after Darkrai needed search food. The people took care of the child and Darkrai watches in the shadows as he decided to protect the child, no one knows what happen to the child or the Darkrai but legend has that they roam through the region together in the shadows" you ended the story and close book. The little children that surrounded you look bored as half of them almost fall asleep.

The parents were leaving with their children out of the library as you stood at the entrance and you were holding your book, saying goodbye to your little listeners and the parents who stayed or came to pick up their kid. "Oh, are you ms/Mr e/n?" ( Example name) you looked over to a parent as she was holding her child's hand. "Yes, miss? What could I help you with?" you asked her. " Well, I was wondering if you could… use a different story? Maybe one a little more…. Something for children? I mean it's kinda boring and sad if you ask me" she said. You felt a little heartbroken because that was your favorite story. You read this book as a kid all the time. "Um… sure, I'll try and see if there is anything good" you said. "Wonderful, well see you next week ms/Mr e/n" the woman said as her and her child walked away. You sighed as you close the door of the library and then you walked over to the window and flip the open/close sign to close. You looked at the book cover, which was called "the tale of Darkrai and the child". You decided to put the book back on its shelf where it belongs and walks up to a spiral staircase.

(Annnnd that's a wrap, people! I hope you like it!)
