Drew Torres was never one to believe the rumors that flooded around the very dramatic halls of Degrassi. However there was one in particular that had caught his attention. A rumor had started about journalist Katie Matlin, and at the mention of her name Drew was immediately interested. He had had a crush on this girl since he first set eyes on her; he thought she was absolutely stunning. Now, the rumor that was spreading like wild fire was that Katie was bulimic. Drew couldn't believe it. The perfect Miss Matlin, bulimic? There was no way! …Was there? Drew had to get to the bottom of this immediately. He took off towards Katie's office, only to see the blinds closed. Hmm, perhaps she wasn't there he thought. But just then he noticed two things. One, there was a small amount of light peeking under the closed door, and two, he heard crying. His heart began to race. His perfect princess was crying. He brought his shaking hand to the door and began to knock. "Katie?" he asked trying to keep his voice calm. He waited a few seconds, but there was no answer, only more crying. He took a deep breath and slowly dragged his hand down the door to the cool metal handle. He rested it there for a moment before turning it slightly and slowly opening the door. He let out a slight gasp as his eyes met the red, puffy ones of Katie. Closing the door softly behind him, he quickly made his way ever to the broken beauty. He sat beside her on the floor and wrapped his arms around her. He felt her jump at first, but then relax and bury her face into him as she continued to cry. He didn't bother to ask if the rumor was true, because now he knew the girl he had put on such a high pedestal had taken a tumble off, but he didn't care. He was right there to catch his beauty queen. "You're so beautiful, ya know" he whispered to her. She poked her head up to look at him. "Do you really think so?" she asked her voice slightly hoarse from crying. Drew nodded his head as he wiped away her tears with his thumb. "You're absolutely gorgeous." he said. He watched as Katie bit her bottom lip and cheeks turned bright pink. "You're insecure, don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the door. Don't need make up, to cover up; being the way that you are is enough. Everyone else in the room can see it, everyone else but you" he sang softly, watching as Katie began to smile. "Baby you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell; you don't know oh oh; you don't know you're beautiful. If only you saw what I can see, you'll understand why I want you so desperately. Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe you don't know oh oh, you don't know you're beautiful oh oh, but that's what makes you beautiful." He finished, resting his forehead against hers. He was surprised when he felt her lips on top of his, but of course he didn't mind. Why, this was his dream finally coming true. She had been all he had ever wanted, and now here she was kissing him because he reminded her how beautiful she was. He'd never understand why she doesn't know that she's beautiful, but he did know he'd always remind her. Because to him she was the most gorgeous, flawless, amazing girl to ever walk the face of the earth.
