Izuki liked mirrors.
Not for any egotistical reasons, no. They were the closest things she had to friends.
It all started when she never developed her quirk at a normal age. She wasn't quirkless, her diagnosis said so, it just took awhile before she gained it.
By then the damage had already been done, both physically and mentally.
She remembered that day well...
"You won't be needing this anymore Deku!" Katsuki Bakugou had her by her throat and was attempting to take her notebook. She'd been in this situation many times before.
Unfortunately she usually came out of them with burns, bruises and cuts. Most of these injuries tended to scar over permanently.
"Please Kaccha-" A small explosion rippled from the hand he held her in.
Blood started to rise up her throat as Bakagou slammed her against the wall releasing another explosion.
"DON'T CALL ME THAT YOU USELE-" he stopped when Izuki coughed blood all over his right hand.His eyes widened as he dropped the girl to the floor, unconscious.She never saw Bakugou after that but she managed to save herself with her first quirk.

Izuki touched the spot where Bakugou had burnt her throat. It chilled her to the bone whenever she thought of him but she never had the courage to do anything.
Today was the day of the UA physical entrance exam.
As usual she aced the written test and was now waiting in line to get her temporary pass.
"Next." Midnight said as Izuki stepped up, "Name?"
"I-Izuki Mid-M-Midorya." she stuuttered out.
"Here's your pass, please take a seat." Midnight gestured to a load of chairs behind her.
Izuki nodded and took a seat in the center of the hall and waited for the presentation.
TIMESKIP.
Today was not in Izuki's favour as it turned out Bakugou was two seats away from her and some blue haired boy had told her off for mumbling uncontrollably.
That same boy also thought she was trying to sabotage another examinee but in reality she was trying to comfort them.
In the end she had gotten roughly 96 points thanks to her quirks and she had also saved a girl from the zero pointer by hacking it.
