what we could be
It's fluffy like the cloud.
Madoka stabbed the fork into a strawberry and handed it to Homura who accepted it with a smile. She bit the tip of the strawberry and immediately shivered when her whole mouth was filled with a sour taste. Homura squeezed her eyes shut, hoping that the sour taste would disappear but Madoka chuckled.
"Did I gave you the sour one?" Madoka wiped an invisible tear before handing her own fork that was already poked with a half-eaten strawberry. "Eat this one, it's really sweet."
Homura contemplated for a moment, but they exchange the fork without a word and they both took a bit on their new strawberry. Homura smiled, just as sweet as the strawberry she just tasted, the sour feeling in her mouth was long gone. Madoka winced and bit her lips before a shiver went down her spine.
It was Homura's turn to laugh at how silly Madoka reacted to the sour taste. "Do you like it?" Homura softly asked.
"It's really sour!" Madoka cried out, but her face fell lax and a smile was quickly replaced. "But it's nice to try something different." They set their utensils in the box after eating a few more fruits.
The tree swayed along with the soft wind that just blew by and Homura looked up, so did Madoka. They stared at the clouds that spread over the sky like white piece of blanket while they sat quietly under a shady tree. Madoka brought a box of fruits and sandwiches while Homura brought some drinks and they both shared it with each other. No worries, no stress. Just a normal Saturday afternoon spent quietly and peacefully together
"That cloud looks like Sayaka-chan!" Madoka pointed at the sky as a white round blob floated slowly across the sky. Homura smiled and pointed at another blob of white fluffy cloud in the sky.
"That cloud looks like you."
"Which one?" Madoka leaned closer to Homura, her words definitely piqued her interest.
"The one of our right."
Madoka giggled. "You're kinda right!"
Unconsciously, Madoka was shifting closer and closer until her shoulder brushed against Homura. Madoka looked away when it happened, pretending that she didn't notice while Homura just gave a tiny smirk that goes unnoticed to Madoka.
They stayed like that for the whole day.
