Alone, lost, and forgotten. The exile remains hidden after the events of the war took place, after the final battle on Malcachor she is being endlessly tormented by the screams of the deceased. The guilt she feels is becoming to much to bear, and no one can calm her fears. A poem about the exile after the war. please go easy on me it's my first story and i'm barely a teenager

Light of Darkness

The constant battle I face is long and hard,

But yet so much more is still to come

While pain and agony endlessly torment my very soul,

I desperately keep fighting and searching

For an overwhelming peace to calm my fears

As the days go by the pain gets worse,

But no one seems to hear my hidden cries

I silently remain in the shadows unseen and unheard,

Waiting to hear what I fear the most

I slowly begin to accept what I refuse to believe

While time begins to take its course,

The light of darkness claims its victory over me,

And eagerly shows me a path where I will be forever lost in its merciless clutches

I fear that I that I will be chained to a life of unseen misery

While the happiness I once knew fades away
