Author's Note: Hey heyy, again with the short one shot! I know it's a killer, always leave em wanting more I say. Anywho, this one is less depressing than the other one. Enjoy it and as always, criticism is more than welcome!
I still couldn't believe it. I looked down in awe at the silver band that hugged my ring finger and smiled.
Married?
"Spence, stop looking at it, it's not going to disappear on you." Ashley chuckled.
I laughed casually and blushed. "I know, but, it's so pretty and it means so much. It's not just a ring, it's a circle that defines our love, never ending, a cycle." I spaced out as I spoke.
Ashley leaned over and gently kissed my lips. My heart began to race, like it always did whenever any part of her was near me. We were married and we had the papers to prove it. I realized though, the papers didn't matter. Marriage was about being in love, and whether we had papers or not, we definitely had the love to prove it.
"Spence, you know I love you right?" Ashley's tone suddenly serious. "I know baby, I know." I smiled reassuringly. I knew she loved me, but sometimes I wonder if she knew how much I loved her. If she knew that when I woke up next to her, my day automatically got off on the right foot, and that if at any point my day turned bad, falling asleep next to her, made it better. She was everything I had been waiting for, and it's times like these, when I realize that every ounce of pain I've ever felt, was worth it. She was worth it.
"Ashley, I want to tell you something.." I began, waiting for permission to continue. She nodded at me and smiled.
"The day I met you, I never imagined this is what we would become.. if someone would have told me I'd be sitting before you now, married, and in love.. I would have laughed in their face. I say that, not because you're impossible to fall in love with, or to wed, but because I thought I was. I never thought I'd see the day when someone would love me enough to want to commit the rest of their lives to being with me. Never." I looked down as I spoke. Emotional as always. I then felt a gentle hand on my face. I looked up and I was met with tear filled gorgeous brown eyes.
"Spencer, when I met you, If someone would have told me what we would have become, If someone would have told me that we'd be sitting here, and you'd be my wife, and I'd be completely in love, I would have laughed and said I know." Ashley smirked. I looked up a bit confused so she continued.
"Spencer Carlin-Davies, I knew upon meeting you, that I couldn't live without you. I knew that I loved you so much, I was going to have to make you mine forever. So if someone would have said I did just that, made you mine forever, well of course I did! I'm not that stupid!" Ashley ended her statement with a giggle and a sweet kiss on my lips.
I couldn't help but smile. This girl was so amazing, in so many ways.
Ashley Davies was a lot of things, a singer, a sexy woman, a tease, a nerd, silly, and sometimes, she was a bit insane. However, there was one thing she was that I loved the most. Mine.
