"Where are we?" Clara asked. She knew something would happen. And then something would happen to the doctor. And they would be in another crazy situation. Again. And there would be aliens. There was always aliens.

"Well, I'd say we were on Earth," The doctor said. He plucked a piece of grass and promptly stuck it in his mouth. "2014 or something," He turned his head.

"Well, I suppose we're going to stay?" Clara said. The Doctor didn't move. "Or are we going to leave?" He didn't do anything. "Hello? Are am I going to spend all day tryin' to get your attention?" She saw a flicker of brown. Clara saw its full body as it stepped out. It was a brown tabby cat, probably female. It had a white underbelly and patches spread out around its body. Its stripes had a dappled feel and they were a mixture of dark and light brown. Clara finally reached its eyes. They were the deepest turquoise she'd ever seen.

It blinked, as if it didn't know what was happening. As if it realized it wasn't supposed to be here, it took off across the moor. The Doctor only stared. Clara poked and prodded him.

"Well, I say we follow it. How 'bout you?" He said abruptly. Clara rolled her eyes. Finding something and following it. Classic Doctor.

"I'm waiting in the TARDIS." Clara responded. Without waiting for the doctor to respond, she climbed into the machine and pushed the doors shut.

"OK, following a cat with alien-like eyes. I'm surprised this never happened before," The Doctor said. He pinpointed the direction of the cat with his sonic screwdriver(yet another use) he set out. The wind rushed in his face as dark clouds began to gather. The Doctor simply shrugged and continued. He made his way to a rocky hollow. He climbed up the stair-like rocks to find himself at a small pool. It reflected the darkening sky like a mirror.

The Doctor leaned down, cupped his hands, and took a handful of water out of the pool. He carefully drank the water. Its coldness burned his tongue and throat as he swallowed it. "My, that's refreshing!" He said to himself. A raindrop landed on his nose.

Raindrops fell. Mostly spread out, but as it continued it fell more steadily. Soon, a full on rainstorm drenched the Doctor. He wheezed. Something was choking him. He leaned over. "Well, this isn't my best day," He coughed. Darkness edged his vision. He thought he could see a pair of yellow eyes. Darkness drizzled out his vision like the rain that fell before him.
