Flashback: Separation
No pov, but will change through the story
"Being famous has lots of perks! People have started making shows for us, books about us, and writing these super funny stories online about us!" Louie exclaims.
"Really?! I've seen the show and the comics, but never stories online." Huey asks.
"Yeah. It's all over social medias and such. People write up a story, and share it with everyone." Dewey shrugs.
"Dewey and I have been reading some. Ever since we moved in with Uncle Scrooge and were on the news and such, we've become crazy famous!" Louie grins.
"What do they say?" Huey sits down on the couch with the other two brothers.
"This one looks fun! It's a multiple choice story! Webby has books like that. They were fun to read with her." Dewey giggles.
"You don't giggle. That was fairly scary." Louie points out.
They all then go into the story and pick their situation together since they are sharing the one device to read.
"Let's do the first situation. It's the beach." Louie suggests.
"Good idea! The amusement park option would probably be sorta annoying. Oh no! Someone is afraid of the rides!" Huey pretends to be shocked.
They laugh and go into the story.
"Ok. I'll read some first. We each read a sentence?" Louie offers.
They all agree.
"The triplets went to the beach one day when Scrooge has a day off to spend with them." Louie reads.
"Huey wanted to collect samples of the different water areas, Dewey wanted to go surf, and Louie wanted to sit in the shade and do nothing." Dewey laughs.
It's weird to read stories about themselves.
"Donald did not approve of Louie sitting around all day, so Louie was made to go with Huey." Huey grins.
Louie angers playfully hearing that.
"Huey was getting tons of water samples and Louie was getting board. Finally that sounds right." Louie jokes.
"This huge storm in the distance appears going unnoticed by Huey and Louie, but Dewey jumped off his surfboard and swam to shore." Dewey starts to get a worried look on his face even though this is just a story.
"Uncle Donald asked, 'Where are Huey and Louie?' And Dewey answered, 'They are still out there!' Freaking out, they then saw a huge wave coming up over the and they started yelling to them." Huey reads way more than a sentence.
"I don't wanna read." Louie shoves his phone into Dewey's hands.
"Me neither. Not out loud." Dewey shakes his head.
"Let me check. Uh oh. Maybe let's just listen to the audio reading of this." Huey suggests.
"All stories have to end well, right?" Louie whimpers.
Huey presses play on the audio.
"Huey and Louie are taken under by the waves causing everyone to scream. Everyone ran around searching for them for hours." The auto reader says.
Huey pauses it.
"D-did we die?" Louie asks.
"I don't know. That was the end of that chapter thing. Oh wait, there's one more part. Sorry." Huey presses play.
"Webby shouted for Dewey, as they had found his brothers. He gasped and ran to sit on the ground with them. They were still breathing. That's good. Huey woke first coughing. He freaked out over Louie. Finally, Louie awoke. Louie coughed harshly. The brothers tackled him in a hug and Louie didn't know what to do. He just knew he was scared for life." The auto reader recites.
"Uh...scared for life? I don't want that to happen!" Louie frowns.
"I bet it will end well. Wait, there are four possible endings. Only one is happy. We have to just pick one." Huey tells his brothers.
"Pick 3. That's my 2nd favorite number." Louie suggests.
Huey presses play.
"Louie had burst into tears from all the overwhelming memories. He was scared, cold, and starting to not be able to breath well. His brothers were worried. Would Louie be ok? Once they got home, Louie locked himself in his room. When his brothers hadn't heard from him in a day or two, they went to go find him. They knew he was probably having horrible mental attacks from the recent incident. He was scared to death of the water already." The auto player starts.
"I think they got the wrong triplet." Huey teases Dewey.
"I don't like hygiene. That doesn't mean I don't like water." Dewey crosses his arms.
Huey resumes the auto player.
"When Huey and Dewey walked into Louie's room, they saw him curled up in the corner rocking back and forth. 'Louie, what's wrong?!' Dewey rushed over to his brother. 'The waves. Their waving. They wanna say hi!' Louie got this crazy expression on his face. Dewey gasped and freaked out. Louie started running around shouting about the waves saying, 'hi' before Dewey called the hospital. The hospital took Louie away and diagnosed him with the experience making him go insane. Huey and Dewey never saw their brother again." The auto reader finishes.
Louie is sobbing thinking about this, Dewey is gripping onto Louie's arm not letting anyone take him, and Huey has one arm around his brothers and looks down at Louie's phone.
"We got the insanity ending. That was fairly scary." Huey shuddered.
The story they heard might not have been very scary, but think about what is going though their minds right now.
Will they really lose each other?

We were at the amusement park one day when we were 8.
Louie wanted to stick close to us even though he didn't want to go on the rides with us.
We went to a rollercoaster Louie didn't wanna go on, so we finally convinced him to sit on the bench outside the ride and wait for us.
We exited the ride when it was over and head for the bench Louie was at.
He wasn't there.
"Huey! Louie isn't here! I'm scared! Where is he?" I cried.
"I've checked other benches. He's not anywhere! Call the police or something!" Huey shouted.
I dialed the number and called.
"Uh..hello sir. My brother is missing at the amusement park! He was last seen at the bench outside the risky rollercoaster ride." I told him.
I hung up after the policeman said he would be there soon.
Huey pulled me into a comforting hug as I sobbed.
What would happen to my baby brother?
Uncle Donald showed up carrying Louie who I ran over to embrace him.
Huey did the same and we explained what happened.
"I couldn't lose you. I was about to die if the cop told me you were gone." I admitted.
"I was alone and scared. Uncle Donald found me alone and crying, so he took me to get a soda." Louie told us.
He jumped down from Uncle Donald's arms and shoved in between us.
Huey and I wrapped our arms around Louie and we left that horrible place.
ᑭᖇEᔕEᑎT TIᗰE Iᑎ ᗪEᗯEY'ᔕ ᑭOᐯ
I can't let that happen again!
I pull Louie closer.
He's probably having similar thoughts.
If we thought we were affected harshly by that ending, we were so wrong it's crazy.
"Here, Dewey. Read this ending for yourself." Huey says in a shaky voice.
Huey grabs onto both of us as I stare at this part of the story as Louie looks over my shoulder also.
This part ends with Louie dying!
I gasp and tears start running down my face as I imagine this.
I want the image to go away!
I'm not as badly affected as Louie though.
I couldn't manage if either brother of mine were to be taken from me.
"I don't wanna die!" Louie screams and sobs harder.
ᖴᒪᗩᔕᕼᗷᗩᑕK Iᑎ ᒪOᑌIE'ᔕ ᑭOᐯ
I was left alone at the amusement park.
Huey and Dewey just left me there.
Was I not important anymore?
Why did they always leave me out?
There were so many thoughts in my head.
Finally, I started to cry.
I didn't wanna be left alone.
I started shouting for Huey and Dewey even though they couldn't hear me.
I drown in all my thoughts as things blurred and sounds went quiet.
Some arms swooped me up and then I felt safer.
I knew it was Uncle Donald.
I can't be away from my brothers again.
ᑭᖇEᔕEᑎT TIᗰE Iᑎ ᒪOᑌIE'ᔕ ᑭOᐯ
I was so afraid to lose my brothers.
I need and love them both.
Will I really, eventually die and just leave my brothers here?
What if I go insane like the story?
"Lou, I love you." Dewey whispers before handing me my phone.
He starts pouring his thoughts feelings from this ending of the story into Huey.
I can hear his sounds, but not words.
I read until death gripping Dewey.
This ending had Dewey so afraid he had done something to harm me, that he drown himself.
Story wise, I had lost my brother to my biggest fear.
I press myself as close up against Dewey as possible.
Huey is also in tears now and holding onto Dewey, but gentler than I am.
We won't lose him, will we?
I shut my eyes tightly and wish that we had never read this.
ᖴᒪᗩᔕᕼᗷᗩᑕK Iᑎ ᕼᑌEY'ᔕ ᑭOᐯ
The first night in the manor I thought I'd like.
It was quiet, peaceful, and I was alone.
The room temperature was how I wanted it and the lights were how I wanted them.
Louie never let us have any light surprisingly.
He couldn't have anyone else on their phone if he was trying to sleep, any nightlights, or even any small lights from radios and digital clocks.
Dewey wanted the temperature super hot, Louie wanted it super cold, and I wanted it in between.
We could never agree.
Finally, I got to have it how I wanted.
It was all about me for once.
I relaxed into my bed and sighed in happiness.
This is how I should have been rewarded for dealing with my brothers since the start!
My digital clock was on having the very slight light that Louie would whine about.
I turned on my lamp to read a section of the JWG.
I was reading a section on siblings.
As I was reading, something really struck me.
My brothers weren't there for me to protect.
What was I thinking?
Dewey can get into so much trouble by one simple thing he doesn't even mean to do.
Louie is Louie.
Cool one second, then having an emotional breakdown the next.
I needed to make sure they were ok.
I slipped out of my bed and started walking down the hallway.
I shivered as a light flickered.
There was a thunderstorm going on outside.
I hurried to try and find Dewey and Louie.
Where was their room?
I started to run up and down the never ending hallways.
They were no where in sight.
Tears stung my eyes.
I needed my brothers.
I needed to make sure they were ok.
The lights went out and I fell to my knees.
"Dewey! Louie!" I yelled.
"Dewey? Louie? I'm all alone." I whispered.
I hated this.
ᑭᖇEᔕEᑎT TIᗰE Iᑎ ᕼᑌEY'ᔕ ᑭOᐯ
I couldn't be alone again.
I moved into a room with my brothers soon after that situation just so I wouldn't be alone.
I don't care if Louie needs every little light off, or if Dewey, Louie, and I fight over the room temperature.
I just need to be able to watch over my brothers and make sure they are ok.
Right now, they are freaking out over some ridiculous story.
I'm freaking out because my brothers aren't ok.
Dewey doesn't cry.
He seems to be having lots of moments where he isn't himself lately.
What has made him like this?
Louie does cry and cling.
No matter what you say, there will probably never be a change in Louie.
Things like this make him worse though.
I don't know why Louie always feels like he has to cling and all that stuff, but we just let him anyways.
He's sorta just always been like this.
He tends to be closer to Dewey than me though.
I don't exactly know why that happened either.
"S-so...the only one left has to be the h-happy ending. Right?" Dewey stutters.
Neither Dewey or Louie have ever been great with words.
Louie talks too much to stale and get out of trouble, but he's never been too good at it.
"I think so. What process do they have to go through though to get to the happy ending?" I ask them.
Dewey tries to make it to where Louie can't hear anything before replying.
"I don't wanna read it. Especially if the process takes all these medicines and stuff for any brother. Stupid fanfiction." Dewey huffs.
"Yeah. Well, at least we know what's out in the world about us now." I point out.
Dewey rests his head on top of Louie's who is still attached to Dewey.
We are all huddled very tightly.
There is like, no space at all.
"I don't wanna leave you guys." Louie finally speaks up.
"Me neither." Dewey admits.
"Same here. I hate being alone." I shudder.
"Come on then. Let's go get something to eat. It's a little past lunch time and we haven't eaten." Dewey points out.
We stand up together and wrap our arms around each other to walk to the kitchen.
"Hey guys! Can I talk to Dewey for a second?" Webby shows up and asks.
"No!" We all shout.
"Uh...ok. Is today like, stick super close to your brothers day?" Webby jokes.
"She's being mean!" Louie whines loudly.
"What is the problem over here?" Beakly shows up crossing her arms.
"Webby is being mean and teasing!" Louie complains.
Webby isn't really though.
"Webby, you will leave them alone. You are excused to your room now." Beakly shoos Webby off.
She apologizes and walks off.
"That was a bit unnecessary, Lou." I tell him.
"Sorry." He says in a baby voice while leaning into me.
I give him a death stare and he backs off.
"Huey, could you please come over here and help with dishes?" Beakly asks.
I do love helping with the dishes, but I can't leave my brothers.
"No! Huey can't do that." Dewey freaks out.
He moves to be in the middle of our line and grabs me to where I can't go over to help.
"Uh...I think Huey will decide that." Beakly frowns.
"I would love too Mrs. B." I tell her.
"Don't leave us!" Louie falls on the floor and attaches himself to one of my legs.
Dewey does the same with the other, grinning though.
"What has gotten into them?" Beakly asks me.
"Some ridiculous story a fan wrote about us. I honestly don't wanna leave them either. Maybe I'll help next time." I sigh as Dewey and Louie cheer.
They are acting like babies.
Then again, I just said Dewey couldn't go talk to Webby.
We stay walking in a tight line going to our room, as we all share a room now.
"Wanna play a video game?" I offer as I never want to play video games.
"No! We kill each other in that!" Louie shakes his head harshly.
"I will." Dewey agrees.
"No! I don't want you to be against each other!" Louie yells.
That's great.
He's doing the thing where he acts like a baby to get his way.
"We aren't fighting. We are just playing a game." Dewey shrugs.
"No! Please don't play! Please!" Louie cries.
"This is fairly sad." I whisper to Dewey who nods rapidly in agreement.
Dewey grabs onto my arm slightly whimpering in fear as Louie falls onto the floor and starts throwing a tantrum.
"I think he has a serious problem. Some kind of phobia. Like a fear from the story?" Dewey offers quietly.
"Maybe. You know what happened in the story though. I'm scared too. We have to tell someone." I decide.
"I think we should see if Uncle Scrooge knows anything to do first. The others would freak out." Dewey suggests.
I nod and we both try and calm down Louie.
Once he is fairly calm, we can talk to him.
Maybe it will turn out to where we don't need to get any help.
"Lou, we are gonna ask you some questions. Don't be afraid. We are just tying to help you." I start off shakily.
"O-ok." He sniffs.
"Did that story make you uncomfortable?" Dewey asks him first.
Louie nods and leans into Dewey.
Dewey wraps his arms around Louie, comforting him as he gestures for me not ask another question.
"Is there an ending that bothered you more than the others?" I ask him.
"I hated the one where Dewey died from my biggest fear in the story. It made me feel like the story was saying I was responsible. I really hated the one where I was taken away from you guys because I went insane." Louie admits.
Dewey and I share a look of concern.
"Do you think those things will actually happen?" I ask him.
"I-I don't know. I'm scared of losing you idiots." Louie slightly grins.
That answers my next question too.
"You don't wanna separate from us, do you?" Dewey gently questions.
"No. I'm scared I will lose you if I separate from you. It would be my fault for leaving you stupid people." Louie frowns.
I don't know why he thinks it's a good idea to call us stupid, but whatever makes him feel better, I want him to do.
"Louie...I'm not great with words. You know that. I hope you do know that God has a plan. He will decide what happens. You can't, Lou. I'm sorry. I do know, that whatever happens, God's got it. You don't have to worry." Dewey surprisingly puts some fairly ok words together.
"I know, Dewey. I have always dealt horribly with worry. It's hard for me." Louie shrugs.
"Well we are going to help you through it. We will always be here for you as long as we possibly can." I tell him.
"Don't worry about now. Tomorrow even. Or possibly the past if you worry about that because I know I worry about that and things I say a lot. Just live your life and live it right or you go back to the end of the li-i-ine!" Dewey sings a line from 'Higher'.
Louie shoved away from Dewey as Dewey laughs.
"Dewey is a disaster. Don't worry about him." I tease.
"Yeah yeah right totally. I'm the best possible disaster though!" Dewey exclaims.
"So are you ok, Louie?" I ask him seriously as Dewey goes around the room singing more of 'Higher' in a ridiculous voice.
"Yeah. Thanks." He gives a half smile.
That's all we ever get from Louie.
He then stands up and goes to tackle Dewey.
Dewey laughs and starts making ridiculous noises.
My brothers are crazy.
Scarred, sobbing, and affectionate one moment, the next, tackling each other and being ridiculous.
"Wa wa wa wa wa!" Dewey shouts.
I have no idea why or how they make these noises.
"Yi yi yi yi yi!" Louie yells back.
Why?!
Ugh!
"Ky ky ky!" Dewey smirks.
"Reeeeeeeee!" Louie winks.
They are seriously into this weird noise battle.
"Ahhhhhh!" I randomly scream.
They both whip their heads over towards me.
I burst out laughing and so do they.
"What's going on in here?! We heard tons of wild noises!" Beakly bursts in along with everyone else in the manor.
"Ooh. My bad. Sorry...So I said hear me now!" Dewey randomly starts singing 'Higher' again.
Everyone groans and leaves.
I'm gonna just stop this here.
My brothers are so ridiculous, that no one knows what happens to them in a few seconds.
Sorry for ruining your lives.
Be free all you people!

Hey! This was a request by 'I LOVE DUCKTALES'. I hope you liked it! Sorry about not really writing more on the fanfiction the triplets were reading. I wanted this story to be more about them and less about a scary story or situation. Huey got the longest pov just because I feel like he was the one that needed to have it. Also, I was too lazy to go back into the no pov thing. Please check out my poll on your favorite Ducktales characters! Whatever character wins, gets their pov in a special story! You can also comment your favorite character here! Thanks for reading!
