"OH JAYDEN", screeched an overly excited pixie, otherwise known as Alice. Ever since I was taken in by the Cullen's, this is how I was woken up on the first day of school….since the first grade. I'm not complaining though the Cullen's have given me everything….that is besides friends maybe a girlfriend but I have a theory that if I'm meant to have those I will. Hoorah for 8th grade?

"Lex wake up", my mother said as an attempt to pry me from my bedroom.
"37 more minutes?" I said hopefully.
"No", well that was to the point.
I was stumbling around my room looking for my clothes and oddly enough my brain.
I hopped in the shower and took a quick ten minutes then got out, threw on jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie and ran out the door. Let me say how thrilled I am to get on the bus.
"Hey Defective!"
Did I mention I'm not popular, pretty, or super skinny in the least?
Well I'm not fat just a tad over-weight. All well nobody at school has treated me like a living person since the 4th grade. Yippie for 8th grade?
