Broken Promise

I made a promise to you

I thought I'd keep it true

To never ever leave your life

To never ever make you cry

But on that fateful night

My destiny went and took flight

My chest bloody and inflame

The blood that poured screamed your name

If I could I'd come back to you

To keep this promise and make it true

But hold your tears and don't you cry

For I will see you in the next life
