A/N: Hey everybody I'm back with another story, again for the Houses' Competition forum. Today I'm going to be trying out a little bit of a different style as I will be incorporating some song references into the story.

Please note that all rights go to the song writers and singers and to J.K Rowling for Harry Potter, thank you.

This story may contain scenes of violence and the use of course language, reader discretion is advised.

She walked through the corridors of Hogwarts, her long brown curls bouncing ever so slightly as she walked. The young witch had been through so many trials and tribulations through her years but this year would be a normal year. At least, that was what she had thought. During her final year she and Ron had gotten closer than before. Despite their occasional arguments, the two loved each other very much.

Everything had felt so right for her, like nothing could go wrong. The two had gotten into an argument like usual, except this was more severe. In all honesty, their relationship was never perfect, at least in Harry's perspective. He always saw the two either fighting or getting upset over the smallest problems. This though, this wasn't a small problem and Harry knew that this would probably be it for his two friends.

Everything had fallen apart for the brunette girl. She felt as though her heart was torn into pieces, and she knew she couldn't deny it nor pretend that everything would work out in the end. This time, he crossed the line. "What would it take to make you listen to me? All I ask is that for once in your life just put aside your ego and do as I say!" The brunette exclaimed as she struggled to maintain her emotions.

"Bloody hell, Hermione, I don't need you telling me how to live my life. I've done bloody well on my own, I don't need you hounding me every time I take risks." The ginger shouted in response, clearly angry.

"Is that what you think of me? I'm doing this for you, Ronald! I told you everything, I even opened up and let you in." Hermione retorted.

"Well I've had enough of it. You need to learn to just leave me alone!" Ron yelled.

It was at this moment that the room went silent. This was the moment that their relationship would change forever. This was the moment that she had decided she couldn't handle his nonsense anymore.

"I see. I just thought you were the one, the one who would actually understand..." Hermione sighed, shaking her head. "If i'm such a burden then you can just leave. Don't talk to me anymore." she stated, her voice low yet somewhat intimidating. She was barely hanging on at this point and felt as though she could barely breathe.

"Fine. I don't need you anyway." Ron grumbled has he left the room, slamming the door behind him.

...

A week had past since then. A week without having much time to talk with her friends about the whole situation. She walked through the halls, pretending once again as if nothing was wrong. She pretended that she had everything together, but in reality she was broken up inside. Oddly though, she found herself talking to Draco about the whole situation. It wasn't super awkward or anything since within their 7th year they had began to get along and she even began forgiving the blonde for what he had done with being an Ex Deatheater.

She had been exiting the library with Draco when she had seen Ron walking past her. The two made eye contact for a slight moment but neither of the two said a word. She was very broken from their breakup but she didn't let him see the tears behind her hazel eyes. It killed her to see him, but she refused to cry on the outside for him anymore.
