"We've got him, Jack!" Maddie exclaimed to her husband.
"Yeah now lets dissect him molecule by molecule!" Jack said pulling out many of his strange machines.
The first thing Maddie grabbed was a small knife.
"Danny Phantom is done for." She said with a huge smile across her face.
Danny struggled trying to turn intangible, but something was blocking his powers.
Maddie cut him in order to get a sample of his blood. She collected the green ooze coming from the cut in a small beaker.
Maddie took a close look at it, then analyzed it with some odd scanner.
"Jack, it says there are traces of human blood in here." She looked at Jack confused.
Danny's eyes widened and he tried even harder to escape.
"Well let's get more samples!" Jack was jumping up and down at the fact that they had finally caught Danny phantom.
Maddie smiled at her enthusiastic husband and gave Danny a deeper and larger cut. Now the blood wasn't just the green ooze, but also red human blood. Danny let out a small cringe out of pain.
"Please stop." Danny pleaded.
"No! Never!" Jack yelled excitedly. He'd never admit it to the ghost, but this was the first one he'd ever caught and wasn't going to let it go anytime soon.
Jack and Maddie did many more test and experiments that hurt Danny even worse, but they didn't care.
A few hours passed, and Danny was now covered in both ghost and human blood. Jack nor Maddie could figure out why. They assumed it was because he had died recently and therefore was still a little human.
Danny did everything he could to try to use his powers but his parents machines prevented that. Besides, he was too weak to use them. Danny grew weaker and weaker as Jack and Maddie continued to have their fun. Every once in a while a blue ring would form around the ghost's waist, but Danny would start to focus and the ring would disappear. Jack nor Maddie knew what this was either. They continued with their experiments, and the ring appeared more often. It became harder for Danny to get rid of it as well.
Eventually Danny got to the point to where he could barely stay conscious. He struggled to keep his eyes open and watch his parents gain more information about him. Finally, after a few more experiments Danny did pass out, and the ring showed up once more. This time though it didn't go away. Instead it split in two, one ring traveled up his body while the other traveled down. When the rings reached the ends of his body Jack and Maddie froze in fear and shock.
Maddie woke up and found herself in her bed with Jack sleeping happily next to her. She sneaked out of bed careful not to wake her husband. She walked into the kitchen, and saw Danny fly in clearly back from a fight. Danny sat down and waited for a second. Any scratches or bruises he gained from the fight healed. He changed back to Danny Fenton.
Maddie stared at her son, then saw what shed done to him in her dream. What she had wanted to do during the three years she didn't know he and Danny Phantom were one in the same.
"Is everything ok, mom? Danny asked when he saw the expression on her face.
Maddie walked up to her son. She began crying, and hugged him.
"I'm sorry." She said through the tears. "I'm so sorry."
