Polarity

He is as cold as ice.
She, on the other hand, is warmth; acceptance.

Total opposites, complete polarity.

Many warned her that she would just get hurt in the end.
Yet, she didn't listen. She was too in love to listen.
Many told him that she was too good for him.
Yet, he didn't care. He was too selfish to care.

Many told her she wouldn't last; that she was too fragile to handle him.
She thought they were right; but still gave it her all, she gave him her love.
Many told him it wouldn't work; that he was too self-centered to actually commit.
He ignored it. Thinking that this, what they have now, is exactly what she wanted.

Everyone knew that their relationship was bound to end.
Everyone knew they were too different, too contradicting.
Yet, both refused to listen.

Everyone knew that once her warmth received too much ice, she was bound to get cold; bound to get tired.
But what everyone didn't know was that her warmth was just enough to break the ice; to break his ice.

And she knew it the moment he took her hand and said,
"Stop loving me too much."
She smiled, held his hand tighter and nodded.
Because she knew it was his way of saying,

"Let me be the one who loves you more."
