"Jaune." I hear a familiar, heartbreaking voice call my name. I look around, but don't see anything. The landscape is that of Beacon Academy, but something seems off. I was there the day the school was destroyed, yet nothing appears to be in ruins. What's weirder is that though it seems the school is functioning and open, there are no students.
"Jaune!" The voice calls again. It sounds close. I walk in the direction it calls to me from. The more I press forward, the more I worry what kind of trap I'm walking into. Looking around, I see that the sky is white instead of blue.
I come to a door; the Library. I pull the door open and enter. Sitting at one of the tables is Pyrrha. "You finally made it, Jaune. I missed you." she says with a smile.
Tears stream down my face seeing her. I remove the sword from my hip and set it on the ground next to the table as I sit in the chair across from her. "So where are we? This clearly isn't the real Beacon." my mind is spinning with questions, and the only one that can answer them is Pyrrha.
She looks at me, a puzzled look on her face. She replies, "Beacon? Is that that what you see?" Great. More questions.
After a long explanation, I gather that this place is to be my place of rest once I die. She smiles warmly and says, "even though i miss you, you better not die for a long time. Those people need you."
We stand up and walk for a little bit. We go to the rooftop where we trained together during our first year. Tears stream down my cheeks again. I look at her, and realize now more than ever, exactly what I lost that day. I lost not just a best friend, but someone that truly loved me for who i really am.
"Pyrrha, I'll come back to you, I promise. I have some things to finish, but I will return. I love you." I quickly say. I kiss her on the cheek. I see her smile, but a tear falls from her eye.
"I-I love you too. I'll be waiting." she replies. I am then awoken by Nora shaking me.
I wrap my sleeping bag up, and pack up for the day's journey without a word. The last thing she said to me continues to ring in my head, "I-I love you too. I'll be waiting."
