The Boy Lost In His Fright
"a holocaust story"
Here in this safe place I live. Yesterday is the start of how I ended up in this safe place.
At school the bell rang. So my friends and I went to go play in the park, but a group of soldiers came to us and asked us if we were Jews. If we wouldn't talk they would kill us. I saw a soldier asking my friend Jacob if he was a Jew and he didn't answer so he was shot faster then he could say yes.
I was frightened from the sight so I ran, I ran, and I ran all the way to my house. When I got there I found the most horrible sight of all, even more gruesome than my best friend Jacob being shot in the temple. My parent's cold hard dead bodies were laying right on the floor. The whole room was destroyed. As I stood there in horror the door creaked open. The same voice of the soldier as before was coming in through the back door. I tan my frightened body all the way up to my bed room. I was running so fast I forgot were I was heading, next thing I knew my face was lying on the floor my eye blacking out, as I blacked out I heard foot steps coming, I didn't want to look to find that it was the Nazi soldier, but in truth I knew it was. Then I blacked out and lost thought of were I was, what I was doing, or even who I was at that moment in time I was lost.
I woke in a hut crowded with dirty sick people. I knew were I was but didn't want to believe it. I had no hear, I all of the sudden had a tattoo of numbers that had no meaning to me.
A soldier came through a giant door. He asked all for all children from the ages seven through eleven to go with him, I was eleven but two weeks away from being twelve, I went with him because I didn't want to lie to him. He took us into a forest near by, he opened a door leading underground, he told us to take our clothes off and he pushed us through the door. They closed the door the lights turned on. Then ten or twelve pellets of something were dropped through a hole in the ceiling. Like before I fell to the ground but this time I knew I wasn't getting up.
Now I stand in this safe haven called Heaven were God is watching.
