Hey guys! Just a little drabble from JJ's point of view about her relationship with Emily, and what happens in the office as a result. I'm kind of writing this AN before the actual story, so I've no idea at this point where it's going. I'm sat in Sociology at the minute, with a strained finger, and without a beta, so all mistakes are my own. I'm not saying there will be many, but there might. While on the topic, anyone want to beta for me? Anyway, here's the story. Enjoy!

I was sat in my office, as the Media Liaison for the Behavioural Analyst Unit of the FBI, when I saw her walk in and sit at her desk in the bullpen. She wasn't late, but she arrived later than the others- she knew I would be watching. I was always watching. I had watched her ever since she had joined the BAU 3 years ago. Emily Prentiss stole my heart the first time I ever saw her. It used to just be stolen glances: looking through the blinds of my office to see a perfect scene unfold in front of me: but 2 years ago, they were no longer stolen and tentative, but bold, obvious and returned.

I remember that day like no other; the day Emily Prentiss asked me out to dinner. It was the best day of my life if I'm perfectly honest: the day I got to kiss the badass profiler and not get shot down and questioned. It was amazing. Every day since that I've spent with her have been amazing. She is amazing.

Looking around my office quickly, I noticed that I had a lot of work to do: too much work to do in one day. Either I had to stay overnight- which wouldn't be a first, or I had to delegate a whole load of the work to the profilers. They wouldn't mind. Emily especially. I wasn't supposed to favour any one profiler over another, but given our relationship; Emily was constantly favoured. Nobody minded, it was only one of two cases each time. She didn't, but the rest of the profilers knew I used to give her more cases so she had to visit me more than the others each day. Because everyone else knew what I was doing, Reid got one less profile than Derek: it meant Emily thought she was just slower than the others. Luckily she never figured out she got more reports than the others.

For one whole year after we got together, Garcia was the only other person at work who knew about our little relationship. It was quite surprising really when you think about it. Rossi, Hotch, Reid and Morgan were supposed to be the best profilers in the country, and yet they didn't see the changes in me and Emily; it was Garcia. Mind you, Garcia did have the added bonus of being our best friend, and coming round my house far too often...and on more than one occasion, walking in to find me and Emily making out on the couch. We didn't mind. It meant we could have some time together while at work if either of us needed it. We would either go to Garcia's office, or we would just ask Garcia to turn the camera off in my office. It was perfect.

However, last year we came out to the rest of the team. It was surprising how accepting they were! Of course, they knew that I liked Emily, loved her even, but they didn't realise the changed and that we were together. They didn't realise my 'favouritism' changed and that it was no longer Reid getting the one less file, and Emily getting one more, but Emily getting one less. I had to tell them in the end. They complained, but it was in vain; besides, they didn't really mind: especially Reid- the work-aholic really.

Emily looked towards my office and winked: she knew I would be watching.
