"Mmm, Alex," Jo sighed as Alex kissed down the side of her neck. "I told you not to come near me for a reason, you know," she added, smiling and searching for his expression, "you're way too tempting talking like this."

"Like what?" Alex teased, reaching for the hem of her shirt.

Jo gave a shot at her best Alex impersonation, "Let's make a baby, Jo! Right now! Oh and look, I'm taking my pants off and I'm going to hop toward you like a bunny." Jo erupted into laughter at the sound of her own voice. "Okay, you get the point."

Alex lifted up his head for the first time since jumping on top of Jo, giving her a slight smirk before sitting up just enough to remove his shirt. "So, what do you say?"

"About what?" Jo looked into his eyes questioningly.

"About trying? Now?" Alex responded, a tinge of hopefulness to his voice, before proceeding to add small little kisses over Jo's stomach.

Jo's breath hitched from the lightness of his touch. "Come on, babe." She lifted his head up, locking her eyes with his. "We need to talk about this. I'm completely flattered that you want to have kids with me, that you see that kind of future with me. Because that's what I want with you. But I wasn't talking about right this moment," she paused, letting out a sigh. "We need to get settled down first, wait until we have a routine. As much as I want a baby with you, I really do, I don't think now is the right time. It wouldn't be responsible to try on purpose, you know?"

Alex nodded begrudgingly. "Yeah. I see your point. I was getting pretty excited about it though."

Jo nodded, smiling at the thought. "We have time." She pictured Alex with their baby, knowing a child would be his world. Reaching up to play with the hair on the side of his head, in a whisper she mused, "When the time comes, you're going to be an amazing dad."

"You'll be an even better mom," Alex insisted. "Our kids will be so lucky."

"Whoa, who ever said kids, plural? Let's take it easy, mister," Jo giggled, breaking the sentimental moment and resuming their kiss.

"So...when you say we should wait, are we talking 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20?" Alex worked his way from Jo's mouth to her neck, shoulders, stomach, and hips, leaving a kiss between each number.

"Maybe in a year or two. I think 10 is a bit drastic."

"I was talking about days, not years, Jo," Alex tried to state as seriously as possible.

"Such a goof," Jo muttered under her breath, spotting a twinkle in his eye. "You really did come around quickly, didn't you?"

"Mmm hmmm. It's hard not to, you know, when I'm in love with someone as great as you." Alex smiled into their kiss, which trailed off into an entire evening.
