Chapter 1: the beginning of the end
My eyes fluttered open and I was in a crowded room with about forty to fifty other people. The only ones I recognised were Paige, Cameron, Kerryn and Lilly. I made eye contact with Lilly first. She looked terrified. I wanted to go to her but it was then that I realised I was tied to something cold and hard. I tried to move but a pair of cold hands wrapped round my waist, restraining me.
It was then that I realized that it was not a rope holding me back but a person.
I screamed and the unknown person moved one of his restricting hands from my waist to cover my mouth, muffling my scream. Everyone just turned away from us, trying to ignore me, but my family couldn't look away. They stared at the person holding me, terrified.
"Lets get you out of here and into your room, shall we?" the unknown voice was a mans and it was husky and terrifying. He still had one hand wrapped around my face and the other over my mouth.
I screamed again, thrashing against his body, trying to break his grip on me but he just tightened it. My feet off the floor and I was kicking out desperately.
"Stop" the voice ordered but I didn't stop and continued screaming and kicking. "you asked for it" he hissed in my ear, clicking his fingers, taking them away from my mouth for just a second and a big, burly man came in and looked at me and then at the man holding me as if he was waiting for something.
"Her" the man holding me snarled at the new man, looking at Paige. The new man walked over to Paige and grabbed her by the throat.
I stopped screaming and kicking straight away. "Don't hurt her" I pleaded. My voice muffled because the man still had his hand over my mouth.
The man nodded and pulled me out of the room.
