Also, this story and all the rest concerning Togusa will incorporate my backstory for him. Therefore, all references to Luipaard and the asylum are mine.
Trying to pretend that it's wrong won't help things.
Bruce knows this perfectly well. He knows it, just as he knows that Togusa is just like him, with the pain and nightmares and convictions. The only difference is in what they have lost.
They both have more than their fair share of secrets.
Togusa doesn't know, not yet. But he's smarter than the average slick; he's on his way to figuring it out. Just like always.
If there's one thing Bruce understands about him, it's that he hates being deceived.
Togusa is also a wanderer, a man of the night. A black and gold streak across the roof --
Luipaard, people are whispering. Luipaard, The Golden One.
Bruce knows that Togusa would understand.
Togusa's golden-eyed gaze is staring over the coffee cup at Bruce's face. The white porcelain serves to emphasize the unusual color. Vaguely, the Dark Knight wonders what happened to him in the asylum.
He sets his own mug down and studies Togusa's face.
"Alright," he says. "I'll tell you."
