The Penguin and The Riddler's Alliance Many Years Later

This story between the Penguin and The Riddler takes place many years after The Riddler set up Pengy in my last chapter.
Many years after Edward Nygma set up The Penguin and his henchmen by leading them to The Riddler's former home, Ed tries to ally with him because there is a threat that he feels is bigger than their long lasting feud.
After Ed tells Oswald that he wants to collaborate with him, The Penguin states the following: "YOU want to join forces with ME? I remember the vial things you said to and about me via the TV and videotape announcements to me and ALL of Gotham City back then, AND you tried to kill me and my men.
Edward responds: "Oh, come on now. Can't you let bygones be bygones? I knew you guys would come out the house unharmed. I did at least show a picture of the bomb that went off in the house, didn't I? I said those things about you out of frustration with the crime family's hold on everything and everybody back then, and then witnessing good men and women on the force cow down to these crime family thugs. To me, you WERE the face of Crime. I felt this way especially when I first met you at the GCPD. I secretly despised your arrogance towards me when I first approached you.
But I don't have any grudges or ill will towards you now. I did before, but as far as I am concerned, all of that resentment and vitriol is truly over now. This repressed ego of mine is a terrible thing. My ego and my big mouth outdo my intelligence most of the time. I admire that you don't suffer from this. Besides, all of us businessmen and women, so to speak, have a much bigger threat to deal with. THE BATMAN has come about and has presented the greatest challenge to all of our well beings. Did you see what he did to Joker? Joker got away from the Big Bird Brain, but the one with the pointy ears is determined to get us all. I KNOW that together we can battle this nemesis of ours. What do you say?
In response, Cobblepot said, "First off, you insulted the hell out of me on the jammed TV and Radio speech in front of everyone in this city. Secondly, it's not easy to forget how you played me by leading me to your old pad with the explosive - in more ways than one - videotape. BUT, you did manage to execute the heists and capers that you eluded to on the tape without the police, the mob, or me catching you.
They called you, and still call you the good guy gone bad.
Through your efforts you became the FIRST Kingpin of Crime. You outdid us all. All of us have to give you credit. Your extreme cleverness was truly noted.
You and I are hardened, strong, big names in Gotham City crime, not common criminals. It would be petty of me to hold on to my anger about the past. I'll just refer to your insults as something that would be found in a Friars Club Roast.
I will accept your offer and work with you to defeat this extreme nemesis of ours: THE BATMAN.
