-a day at the zoo-
Hi. My name is Margaux Warren and this is the story of my life. One day, my friends-Lara, Simona, and Rosalind all went to the zoo together. It was during the summer, so it was like 99° out. We went to the ice cream shop before that, and bought-I bet you can't guess this- ICE CREAM. We were looking around the zoo when Simona turned her head and said 'oh no' really quietly. I looked were she was looking and saw giraffes. I grabbed her hand and started dragging her towards the giraffes. Lara and Rosalind started running after us. I ran straight to the gate and stared at them with intrest. If you can't tell, I love giraffes.
"Patti! Don't do that again!" Simona told me.
"Ok!" I replied, not listening to her comment. I started eating my ice cream. I heard Lara and Ros come up behind me.
"Oh my gosh. If you do that one more time, I will strangle you to death." Lara said.
"You're so nice sis." I said with a hint of sarcasm. Lara looked at me with that look of hatred I know so well. I looked at her innocently, hugging the giraffe I bought at the gift shop. I then started smiling again and running of to another exhibit, making them run after me once again. I ran back to the tiger exhibit and looked at the tiger lying on the ground.
"Hey, the tigers sunbathing!" I said to my friends
Simona laughed. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and saw my mom had texted me. 'Come home, everyone's here to pick up your friends. And we have a surprise.' Was what the text said
"My mom wants us to go back to my house, let's go" I said. I stepped on a bar of the 'turney metal thingy' at the zoo and turned to the other side of the gate. And we walked home. It wasn't much of a walk, 5 minutes or so. We reached the front door of my house and walked in.
