AN: Wrote this in school ... I think it's amusing, at least. T-T It didn't carry on for too long, though, so sorry for the short length. Drabbles for the win ...?
Slight Snakus if you squint, I guess. That's up to you.
Enjoy!
The blond woman leaped through the metal platform of Shadow Moses. A flurry of snow tried to block her vision, but with the current stakes, she couldn't let that happen. That agent was almost down and out for the count, and there was no way he was going to sneak out of this one. This was NOT a mission of his. Samus desperately searched for her opponent, and with every second of nothing showing up, she grew more and more irritated. That coward! How dare he simply HIDE from her?! Why wasn't he fighting?!
Eventually, in a fit of anger, Samus rushed towards the nearest wall and started swinging her plasma whip violently. With every attack, the huntress could hear the unstable structure slowly collapse under the pressure of the constant beatings.
It soon crumbled; the wall fell down, and left an empty space looming in front of her. Blue eyes narrowed as she saw a cardboard box sticking out from a small crevice in the base. ... Why wasn't she surprised?
The young woman rolled her eyes and crept towards the box. She took care to not make a single sound as she approached the flimsy disguise; the look on Snake's face would totally be worth it. Strong, yet delicate hands heaved the cardboard up; Snake sat under it, and was obviously startled at seeing Samus looming over him. A playful smirk crossed her face; this was absolutely priceless.
"Found you," she began, tossing the box away. Snake quickly stood up and adjusted his bandanna, gazing coolly at Samus. The reaction made her snicker. "I had no idea we were playing Hide-and-Seek. When did this start?" The sarcastic comment made the agent chuckle lightly. Samus made a mental not to keep an eye on Snake. Knowing him, he might try to pull a fast one on her.
"Huh. Thought a test couldn't hurt; what I'm wondering is ... why didn't you find me sooner? Guess this bounty hunter can't learn new tricks."
"Don't know about that one," Samus retorted quickly; the smirk on her face widened. The bantering would be fun for a very short amount of time, but the freezing temperatures were getting to her. A full-body latex suit didn't do much against the cold, and her shivering legs proved it. "Pick a harder spot next time, and I promise I'll be a good girl and find you faster."
"Hm." Samus saw Snake's hand reaching into his belt through peripheral vision. When he started to pull out a small, round object, Samus realized that it was a grenade. This wouldn't work on her watch.
"Nice try," she snapped coldly. The huntress quickly activated her whip and knocked the grenade out of his hand, sending it to the other side of the snowy arena as it exploded. Another whack, and Snake went sailing off the stage.
"GYAHH!!"
With a satisfied smile, Samus Aran turned and left the battlefield.
