She held her kunai tightly with two hands, her long pink hair blowing in the wind. Distant screams and clinking of metal could be heard over the throbbing of her heart, she faced her opponent staring deep into his dark unforgiving eyes and swallowed back her fear and her tears.

"Why Sasuke" was all that could come out of her quivering lips

He laughed darkly at her "can't you see Sakura" he said spreading out his arms to empathise his point "this village is evil they are the reason my entire family was slaughtered without mercy"

"The people in this village are not evil" a tear rolled down her cheek "you are the one how is evil"

She threw her kunai through the air hitting its mark; Sasuke's right leg. He ripped in it out of his calf coursing and hissing, "you're gonna pay for that you little bitch" he hissed. He activated his sharingan and sped towards her throwing four kunai at Sakura she dodged three but the fourth sliced her forearm, she hid in the canopy of a tree while she sent healing chakra to her wound wincing at the pain. After the pain subsided and the bleeding stopped she leaped out of the tree scanning the area for Sasuke; she couldn't see him. Sakura landed on her feet, emerald eyes still scanning the rubble that was one part of her village for her opponent.

In blink of an eye someone was behind her pressing a kunai to her throat, her attacker leaned in close to Sakura their hot breath on her ear "I'd stay still if I were you, Sakura Haruno"

Suddenly Sasuke appeared in front of her, his blood red sharingan swirling that was the last thing Sakura saw before she passed out.

"Why didn't you kill her when you had the chance" Sasuke hissed at Suigetsu

The blue boy in question shrugged "seemed a waste of such a pretty little girl"

Sasuke just shook his head` and turned to walk away "Sasuke" Suigetsu called "wasn't this girl in your cell" he said pointing to an unconscious Sakura.

"That was a long time ago" he remarked coldly

"What do you want me to do with her"

"Leave her"

"Huh, why"

"She's no good to us, she's as weak as Karin was"

And they both walked off leaving Sakura on the cold ground.

Sakura's eyes flittered open; she looked around the white room to find it empty.
