Disclaimer- I don't own Harry Potter.

"Are you home yet?" called Tonks to her husband as he shut the door.
"No." said Remus, rolling his eyes.
"Ok, good, I'm having a sordid love affair with our gardener." replied Tonks cheerily.
"It's a good thing we don't have a gardener, or I might have to fire him."
Remus dumped his bag next to a weathered chair and sat in it.
"How'd Potterwatch go?" she asked as she waved her wand at her knitting needles. They were making something purple.
He winked. "What, you didn't listen to it?"
"I mean behind the scenes, silly." scoffed Tonks.
"Lee found out that Fred was going to be on Potterwatch and nearly had a heart attack. Kingsley spilled some coffee on the recorder and Lee freaked out again. Then I remembered we were wizards and magicked it away."
Tonks laughed. "Sounds like me. I think I remember Lee. Dreadlocks, right?"
"That's him," He squinted at what Tonks was knitting. "What is that?"
She stuck out her lip. "Can't you tell?"
"Hm…a sock?"
"No." she grumbled.
"A teddy bear?"
She shot him a look. "You can't knit a teddy bear, stupid."
"Yes, actually you can." he retorted.
"Touché."
"So, what is it?" asked Remus, genuinely curious.
"It's a baby blanket!" she giggled.
"Oh. I didn't realized blankets had so many holes."
She stuck out her tongue. "Don't be mean."
He got up and sat down on the worn couch next to her. "How's the baby?"
She grinned. "Great. I felt him kicking earlier."
He scowled. "I wish I had been home to feel it."
"You snooze, you lose."
"Ever the words of wisdom, are we?" he teased, and she smacked him on the head as he put his hand on her stomach.
"You're both beautiful," he said softly. "I was a fool for thinking I could leave you."
She smiled tenderly. "Yeah, you were."
They spent a few seconds like that before the moment broke and Remus cleared his throat.
"Have you had dinner?"
She shook her head. "No, not yet. You?"
"Nope." He straightened and walked to their small kitchen, which was situated in their living room. Small, but cozy. And cheap.
"What do you want for dinner?" he asked.
"Chocolate, spaghetti, anchovies…and maybe some pears."
Remus tried not to gag as he prepared his wife's dinner.
I hoped you liked it! :) Review!
