Hanging by a Thread
They'd tracked the sorceress to a deep cave halfway up a mountain, Dean complaining every step of the way that he didn't have the right boots.
Sam, by contrast, had suffered in silence, including when they'd edged their way into the mouth of the cavern and he'd seemingly managed to swipe his head through the remnants of every spider web festooning the entrance. He sighed as he flicked away a tiny money spider from where it was suspended by a thin thread, presumably trying to scale the massive expanse of his forehead.
Undaunted, Dean charged in and waved his pistol at the witch. "Just stay where you are," he ordered.
"Leave or I'll set my spiders on you," she cackled.
"Yeah, right," snorted Sam, as he plucked another eight-legged hanger-on from out of his hair.
"Oh, those aren't fully grown yet," she laughed, stepping aside as something horse-sized scuttled forward.

"Maybe it's meant to be that size, and the regular ones are miniatures. I mean, a just and caring Maker would create them big to start. Then they can't hide. That's what bothers you, isn't it? The hiding?" – Dragon Age Inquisition, 'Giant Spiders'
