I love You Too

Hair the color of the sun
Eyes as bright as fireflies in the night
You were like April, the month when we met
Right when you looked my way, I felt like my fate was set
When you were by my side, I could feel the happiness radiating off of you
But if I got too close, you would slip away
You were as delicate as flower that bloomed in spring
And winter took you away from us
Such a shame,
But the happiness you brought here still remains
And even now, I can still feel you by my side
Like a cat, you would hide,
But if you were hurt, you would come to me and cry
We hadn't even spent a year together
Yet it was like we knew each other forever
At the same time, you were gone too soon
But you taught me not to look down
So I won't. But just know, I loved you too.
