A/N: Ugh.. I'm nervous. I read all these LWD stories, but to submit one myself?! I hope it's up to par..
Its been one week since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side and said I'm angry.
"Der-EK!" She yelled furiously.
Derek just laughed at her, just like he always did when she was angry. He looked at her appearance, she was glowering behind her long eye lashes, one hand on her hip and the other one, with one long sharp nail, pointed at him dangerously.
She turned her head the side, not understanding what he found so amusing. "I'm angry!" A growl came from the back of her throat, but he just continued to laugh at her. He knew he shouldn't, that it would only add to her anger, but he couldn't help it.
Five days since you laughed at me
Saying get that together come back and see me.
"Casey I.. I um..." Derek blushed and stuttered. Derek Venturi NEVER blushes or stutters. But, he had done something terribly wrong, and he had to make up for it. He had to apologize.
Casey just looked at him skeptically, raising a delicate eye brow at her step-brothers appearance. "What is this, a love confession?" She laughed, and turned away from him leaving the kitchen with her sandwich in her hand and paying Derek very little attention. "Get that together, and come back and see me." She told him flatly, smirking in her own, cute way. Derek had been stuttering at her all day, and when he could grasp the right words, she knew he would tell her.
Three days since the living room
I realized its all my fault, but couldn't tell you
He should have never been playing football in the house in the first place, he knew that. But Sam and Ralph were in a playful mood, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.
He had thrown the football a little too hard--and too high-- and had smashed a picture frame Casey's grandmother had given her. It had Casey, Lizzie, Nora, and Nora's mother all in it. His heart dropped immediately. If it had been one of Casey's stupid dance recitals, or a family picture, he wouldn't have cared. But somethings you can't get back.
He tried to blame Sam for not catching it, but he knew it was his own damn fault.
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
But it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry
He'd explained what happened to her. She had, of course, been mad. But yesterday, while they were passing in the hallway, she threw him a quick smile, and he knew he was forgiven. He hadn't apologized yet; he kept falling over his own words, and when he told her the story she was too mad to let him explain.
When he got the courage to appologize to her though, she would deffiently be grateful for him telling her. She would tell him only the glass was broke, and the main part was no one was hurt and the picture, the real memory, was still safe.
A/N: So..? I think it's easy enough to follow. If people like it, I would like to do the next chorus to the song... If not, I tried my luck at writing in here!
