It was dark outside of the castle, it looked like it would rain soon. The weather at Camelot mirrored everyone's mood. The people of Camelot were in a depression since their beloved King died. Even Merlin couldn't find a reason to smile. Arthur's death had hit them hard, the people were happy that they won the war, but didn't want to believe the price they had to pay for it. Gwen had to stay strong for the people and only grieved for her husband when she had the privacy of her room. Camelot itself seemed to mourning the loss of the Once and Future King, it knew its one true King was gone, for now at least.

Without Morgana and Mordred, there didn't seem to be any major threats to Camelot. After the battle of Camlann Gwen legalized magic, not just for Merlin, but for all of the innocents that had been persecuted because of it. Though magic was legalized there were limits, if a sorcerer used magic for evil, they would be held accountable and be given a punishment that fit the crime.

Though the Kings life ended, everyone else lived on. Merlin was sad, but not a sad as everyone else because he held onto the hope that Arthur would rise again. Gwen was heartbroken, the knights and Merlin were the only ones that could seem to comfort her. Merlin would try to cheer her up, though nothing seemed to work. Then a couple months after the battle Gwen went to Gaius because she thought she was ill, when she left the physicians room her whole life had changed, she had something to live for once again. Gwen was pregnant, she was sad at first knowing Arthur wouldn't be there to watch their child grow up, but then cheered up a little knowing that her child would have the Pendragon line live on.

Leon had not really changed that much he was still loyal to Camelot, no matter what, but like everyone else was grieving the Kings death, as was Percival. Gwaine despite all odds didn't actually die, after Percival left some druids came by his body and healed him. When Percival had come back for his body you can imagine how surprised he was to find him alive. Gaius was the only one that seemed to be unaffected by the King's death, though he had probably been preparing for it, after all the prophecies aren't usually wrong, but he did seem to age after this battle.

This battle was the one that would be remembered for ages, the one that would be written in so many story books for generations. Arthur would be remembered as a great man and the greatest King Camelot has ever known. This story has more to though, more that has yet to come. This story isn't over for Camelot yet.
