The Legend of Oma and Shu
Scores ago in a distant place Bloody strife hath plauged the land Eye for eye, body for body, soul for soul Blood shed by each hand
The two villages fought a battle But nonw was better than the other Death rocked them to sleep As their own mother
One bloodless day, the fair Oma Climbed the great hill And lo! behold a brave warrior!
Her heart with love did he fill
But the warrior, Shu his name Was her father's enemy Fear struck her And away she ran Away from his company
The night passed, miserably for both Their hearts already given to the other His face could not leave her mind And hers wouldn't leave his either
Daybreak brought further death But unknown to the villagers The fair Oma and the brave Shu Again met one another
Oh! the joy in their eyes The smile on the faces Betrayed their hearts and minds Love swept them away And gave them a pleasure of a new kind
Meet they could not For once caught, the other would be dead So from the great creatures of the mountains,
Did they learn to bend Magic it is said
They moved the rocks The Earth started to tremble Intricate caves they created Where Oma and Shu would assemble
The cave of two lovers was a beauty Only true love could show the way The lights shone likw stars And through the night the lovers would stay
Alas! their love could not overcome the war And it would soon end When Shu never came Oma's heart would not mend
A great fury overcame her And she declared the war no more Rose the Earth into a city Where the villages would live together, forevermore
The tale of Oma and Shu Shook the people to the core They put down their weapons It was the greatest they could do
Rivers of blood stopped And peace slowly grew The city was a testament to love And named Omashu
And so ends this tale Of a love so strong Beyond borders it spread And became immortal foreverlong
