A dark-haired girl sat on the streets of Paris, braiding her hair. She stared longingly into the cafe opposite, eying the fancy-looking pastries in particular.

A short, fair-haired man and a tall, lanky man walked hurriedly down the alley-way.

"Why you wanted to move to Paris, Sherlock, I don't know. There's nothing to do here!" Pleaded the short one.

"On the contrary, John. There is much to explore. Take this girl for an example. She probably sits and braids her hair all day. She stares into the cafe, wishing she was in there. At first glance because she's hungry but she's perfectly well-fed, but if you look closer, because she's waiting for someone, probably her boyfriend. They're seeing each other secretly because they don't want their parents to find out. The owner of the cafe is a perfectionist if you look at their pastries and so wouldn't want their son going around with a street urchin like her. So when they see each other he gives her food because they are in love. Easy. So don't say that there's nothing for my obviously amazing mind to do-everyone has a story."

"Wow. You never cease to amaze me, Sherlock." They laughed and John tossed a coin into the girl's money pot. The two carry on walking.

"It's really suspicious here. I mean, why did that drunk man pat me on the back earlier? I know they're friendly but really? Do you even know where we're going? This doesn't seem like the right place to be..." John asked. "I feel like we're being watched." Without glancing back Sherlock exclaimed:

"The girl that we just passed is watching us because we are two foreign men walking down an alleyway. That is not something she sees everyday." John glanced back to check that Sherlock was right and he was- the girl was staring at them with a strange look on her face. The door of the cafe opened and a boy in his late teens stepped out. She stood up and embraced him before pointing at the two men. John quickly turned his head back.

If he hadn't turned away he would have seen the two of them sniggering as there was a sign on John's back with an arrow pointing to Sherlock saying 'We're more than friends.'
