Flames burned through the air, tearing at the Algarvian foot soldiers that attacked the torched city to the bone. Their screams echoed through Thalfang as the Unkerlanter dragons rained fire and dropped eggs (which were man-size bombs of sorcerous energy) atop their last hope of winning the Derlavaian War. Both kingdoms knew that whatever kingdom left Thalfang standing or not retreating would probably conquer the War and all of Derlavai. Thalfang was the last city before Unkerlant's capital Cottbus and all of both kingdoms soldiers and behemoths were either defending or attacking Thalfang. It was a battle neither kingdom could lose. Tealdo sat flat on his stomach making himself a smaller target for those lucky Unkerlanters who spotted him to blaze. But he was not amused. Squads of Algarvians got cornered and were blazed like dogs as their enemies marched over their cold, bloody bodies with a smile upon their faces. Algarvian dragons also dropped dead from the sky, battling their enemy's air born while Algarvian behemoths got trampled by eggs. Tealdo and his comrades both knew it would take a miracle to save their kingdom and win the battle. The Algarvian army went from army to ruin. "Damn it Seargeant when are we going to go fight and save are kingdom?" Trasone screamed, seeing his countrymen fall by squads. "I know how you feel but if we go we'll fall like the rest of them!" Sergeant Panfilo replied, wanting just as much to attack but knowing what would happen if he did. But Trasone just couldn't take it, "Our kingdom is about to be vanished from the earth and you guys are going sit and watch?" Without another word Trasone rolled away from the brick wall which protected him from beams cutting him in half. As all the Algarvian and Unkerlanters knew, the Algarvians exceeded in skill but suffered severely in numbers. And Trasone wanted to change that. He bolted from cover blazing everything in site. Tealdo was amazed at seeing Unkerlanter solders getting blazed in the back and falling like and apple tree. But it didn't last long, as their comrades fell they quickly noticed that he was there and began blazing back. Tealdo knew Trasone wouldn't last long without aid. Without much thought, he too risked his life to save his comrade. He charged from cover and blazed all the enemies he could down. Although, he didn't notice that all his other squad mates had dived out after him, making a stand. Within a heartbeat, the squad of Unkerlanters had fallen and Tealdo and his friends were all cheering. As if to remind them that the battle wasn't over, an Algarvian dragon slammed onto the ground too close to Tealdo than he would have liked. But something strange has plagued the air. As Tealdo studied the dragon in front of him he realized that it was painted in green and red not in grey. It was an Unkerlanter dragon. "Is that...?" Trasone whispered. Tealdo tilted his head to where his comrade was pointing. The air. All the dragons who rained from the sky were also painted in grey. "Reinforcements!" Sergeant Panfilo screamed. As more enemy dragons fell, a battalions worth of Algarvian dragons pounded to the ground and began slashing and tearing the enemy lines into shreds. Confused, the enemies began retreating, confused at how their army went to ruin.
